As I pointed out in another blog post a while back, part of the problem with continuing OR has been that I've had to build off of a base that was... well, a lot shakier in hindsight than I thought at the time. So while I'm keeping the older chapters for the sake of historical record and posterity, I'm going to post updated versions to start things off from a better place. Take a look at the old prologue and then at the new one - both start similarly, but I think you'll find the key difference in the exchange at the end.
Yes, it does have a very different feel from the original story as a result, but I feel this is a good thing, and hopefully you all will agree.
The revamp of chapter 1 will be coming soon, and then finally a proper update not long after that, hopfully.

I do remember the original prologue was a bit uneven in tone, so it was probably the right decision.
3950252 Yeah, that's part of the reason for the change.
The other just being that as I developed the concepts for the story, the whole 'starvation as motivation' thing, which had never been a huge factor to begin with, became increasingly irrelevant, so I scrapped it in order to focus on the real personality conflicts and such. Chrysalis will try to use it as an excuse, but it's not going to get her very far with Luna.
