Just Saw Captain Amarica: Civil War · 10:02pm May 4th, 2016

Really, really liked it. :rainbowkiss:

Wasn't even going to go see it originally since I generally dislike 'hero vs hero' stories, but this one did it really well. The moral dilemma that split the party, so to speak, felt genuine. That the stakes were genuinely so high that it made sense for the heroes to come to blows over them.

And importantly, it genuinely felt like friends fighting despite dearly wishing they didn't need to. None of that 'I'm holding the antagonist card now! Muhahah!' you see sometimes.

Speaking of next to no expectations but getting blown away: Black Panther. I'll freely admit I've always considered Rakwhanda as a whole a rather silly concept, but they really made you care about the place despite BP technically being the B-story. His movie might actually be something I catch on opening night thanks to what a strong performance was in this one, instead of something I'll catch on NetFlix in five years.

Anyway, wonderful movie. Highly recommended. :raritystarry:

How would you grade the movie, avengers being the lowest limit and deadpool being the highest. Because all the marvel movies I have watched since Ironman except for deadpool have been terrible. I find them really bad, I also find marvels most supersheroes boring as well.

Haven't seen Deadpool yet, actually. Missed it in the theaters.

Still, Civil War is definitely on about the same level and type of movie as Avengers #1. Lots of action, fighting and character clashes, with the odd more personal scene thrown in.

I'd definitely recommend it if you liked Avengers #1, but if you haven't felt the spark since Iron Man you should probably wait until it's on streaming and/or TV.

Huh. I guess I could go see this.

3919736 Deadpool was very good you should see it. Also personally i feel it helps to know what Easter Eggs were included so you can get all the jokes/references.
