Contemplating something. · 6:52pm May 4th, 2016

Well, I've been thinking about this for a few weeks now. I'm contemplating on combining all of the Spiders and Magic stories into one cohesive story. That means deleting Eleven Months, Days of Friendship Past, Rise of Spider-Mare, and (eventually) Fall of Spider-Mane before combining them with Part I. The newly updated Part I will be titled...

Spiders and Magic Chronicles

or

Spiders and Magic: The Rise and Fall of Spider-Mane

Again, This isn't concrete. I'm just... thinking about it and maybe considering the change. What do you all think and recommend?

I would keep it the way it is now. It makes for a more cohesive reading experience as each story so far is in more digestible the smaller chunks. If it was all one story you could turn off people who find your story at a later point.

Well, this seems like an awefull lot of unessesary work you are making for yourself. I don´t really see the need to combine all those stories into one compendium but ultimativley it´s up to you.

Seems kinda unnecessary. The stories already have sequel/prequel labels, so it's not hard to be sure you're reading them in the right order. Plus, given the time skips between some of the stories, it makes more sense for them to be separate stories, otherwise you get a bunch of time jumps throughout one story, which might make new readers wonder if they somehow missed something. As separate stories, there's a solid break between parts.

Well, that could be interesting And it could be called The rise and fall of Spider-Mane.

I agree, I'd rather you keep them separate.

I don't think it's a good idea. It should be kept the way it is. If anything make a good comic strip of all the stories you made.

I don't think there's any need to combine all the stories into one. They are just fine separate as they are.

I would say keep the stories separate, the way they're now. They're well established already, and merging it all into one big part can be potentially daunting to newer readers.

Besides, as the saying goes, if it isn't broken, don't fix it. And the stories definitely aren't broken

I'd keep them separate. It's easier for readers to find and not get confused.

I think they would be better separate. Besides, deleting and combining them might technically be considered re-uploading, and that'd get you in trouble with the moderators.

Like everyone said, better to keep them separate. The first story alone was a little intimidating to read, for me at least, and that was only 60 chapters (though when I first read it, it was like 55 or something, whatever chapter was before the Endgame part). Plus it looks cooler as a group of stories rather than one big story. (Though I do like the Spiders & Magic: Chronicles title).

Is there a reason why you wanna bring the stories together? Or do you just like the idea of it being one big story?

Nah dude keep them the way they are. I only read stories if the number isn't TO high. It's like telling me to read all the harry potter books in one book. It just doesn't work.

well, as everyone has said, merging the Stories wouldn't be feasible nowadays... but you could rename them adding the combined name with a Book Number...

Yeah, keep them separate. Otherwise it is too much to read in one sitting.

I'll heed your advice and will keep everything separate. This was a moment where a simple-minded man had a thought without realizing how stupid it was. I guess that's why I hesitated. :derpytongue2:

Still, you're absolutely right. Part I on its own is over 350,000 words, and expanding on that would be silly, especially when Part IV is already within 200,000 word territory thus far.

I was thinking out loud. Thanks for the advice, everyone. :3

3920552 No problem pal. I love reading your stuff. I am going back to the first story and reading it again.

I am happy with whatever you choose i just enjoy reading your stories. and i know its not what you ask but still hoping the harem you did of peter with all those other girls come bck ohh can Eris find that world and add herself to the harem?

Go with a one title with all of them. I like Spiders and Magic chronicles is best title. We the fans will look forward to ur desion. Gud luck.

Going with the spiders and magic chronicles might have been misleading to newcomers, who might have thought there would be more after fall of spider-mane. Unless you plan to do an anthology of stories based upon or set in the spiders and magic universe, it's fine as is.

3920552 You, dear awesome fellow, are always welcome

Hey, all my pleasure. Allways happy when my two cents can somehow be helpful.^^

Considering how long the first story is, I think you should leave it as is. The first story alone has several story arcs that each of them can stand alone as their own fanfiction.

It'd be better to keep them separate so they're easier for readers to keep track of, especially since Parts 1 and 4 are already lengthy enough as is. Combining all of them would end up in a story that's too overwhelming for new readers to get into. However, one thing you could do is add a section with those stories to your user page, and name it one of those potential titles (I'd personally go with "The Rise and Fall of Spider-Mane"), they sound too good to go to waste.

3920552 I personally have to agree with everyone else on this. There's really no need to change the format. Considering that the story has evolved into a series, it's better to just keep it the way it is.
