I should be writing What They Expect to Give's next chapter. Buuut... I can't focus. Since Baloo started his visit, the ability to write in peace has gone out the window. I need calmer surroundings if I'm really going to manage another update. 
I started looking around this weird Equestrian-government-focused group that kind of toes the line of RP (though they claim they are only meant for socialization and discussion) and it made me want to get into an actual RP. The only active MLP RP community that I know of is Red Light Ponyville, which I've been wary of because SFW RPs are skimpy there (naturally) and I'm not comfortable getting into NSFW stuff with others because it's vaguely like infidelity. (Even if you disagree, I still feel icky about it, that's really the bottom line.) I found a few other MLP RP sites, but they aren't as active as I'd like, and/or have a far younger user base than I'd like. I've participated in some "literate" or "advanced" RPs, but either I've become crap at sussing them out, or they have become more rare.
Mostly, I think it would be fun to join a factional type thing. "Us versus them" can lead to drama and conflict in-game, thus giving events charge and the plot some momentum, and it's easy for my already overloaded brain to make decisions and goals for. Despite being content with simple premises, I'm a bit of a snob about my RP partners.
Anyone know of any RP sites where this thing might be found? Please don't say Gaia Online or RP Haven...

3909571 Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out when I next have a chance. I just joined an OC forum and I'm going to give that a shot. I'm also supposed to be writing up an RP for this game I'll be running on Storium, but I haven't had a chance yet.
