Moth's Thoughts:
It's almost impossible to 100% this game, but I'm having so much fun filling up the Medallium I don't really care. 
In case anyone was wondering, this is my "core team" of Youkai, the ones I used to actually beat the game:
Shogunyan, Thornyan, Komiger
Reuknight, Casanuva, Tattlecast
Outside of occasionally swapping out Komiger for Youkai that need to evolve into their second forms during the postgame, this is the group I'm still primarily using (although Komane is probably replacing Komiger in more core set now), although once I've gotten a decent set of S-rank Youkai under my belt, I'm probably going to swap out most of the team, get as many stat boost books as I can, grind the shit out of the S-rankers, and use them as oni killers. Because the three Oni Time bosses and certain S-rank Youkai (that FUCKER that shows up at crosswalks) absolutely need an S-rank beatdown.

Still trying to fill up as much of the Medallium as possible before summer's end. Also, there's still a lot of people around asking for help with stuff...
Speaking of the Medallium, I have a lot of duplicate Youkai Medals. Even though every Medal I have is a Youkai friend I've made, the fact is there are still tons of different Youkai I haven't made friends with yet, and the Medallium is filling up so fast...so, I decided to part ways with a lot of duplicate Youkai Medals.
After doing so, I found out that might not have been the best idea, because I started learning from whispers and rumors (certainly not from useless Whisper!) that I might need more than one of certain Youkai to fuse all their stronger forms. Wonderful!

For us brits, the game doesn't come out until the 29th of April, much like Ratchet and Clank (PS4).
But the way you talked about evolution intrigues me.
I might jist have to get Yo-Kai Watch: The Game for myself...
3883644 There are very few Youkai which actually evolve. For the most part, you have to find/fuse them.
