"You're never too young to have a Crystal War flashback, Starlight." · 6:04am Apr 18th, 2016
Some of you may be wondering what my plans are for "One Wing, One Heart" since I haven't mentioned it for some time. Well, after careful consideration, I'm planning on doing revisions of the first couple of chapters as well as a shift in tone and complete rewrites starting from the seventh chapter forward. Those rewritten chapters will be about 95% different and said revisions and rewrites will likely occur in the near future. And don't worry, I'm going to make sure the revisions make the story not only better, but more enjoyable as well.
Let's just say that another story inspired me to tackle a somewhat different direction, though what I end up writing will have noticeable differences than the story that inspired me, as I do want to make what I write my own thoughts, after all. Speaking of which, the bittersweet ending I planned out some time ago will likely remain unaltered.
At the moment, my plans are to have the story take a darker turn more fitting for the tag, though not too dark as to dissuade readers, and I do plan on continuing a certain romantic aspect to the story whilst balancing out the characters. And while some may not like the changes too much, it should make for a more investing story in the end.
For starters, the story will have the barracks stay as the setting moving forward instead of Ponyville and will focus on the aftermath of war, Rainbow Dash's relationship with her friends, reconstruction, and so on. There will be more emotional moments as well, as I plan to rework the second half as more of a game of survival whilst making sure the narration fits this world's Rainbow Dash and her somewhat matured demeanor (at least compared to her canon counterpart). I'll let you know when the new "One Wing, One Heart" will begin. But for now, I'm going to focus on my current projects.
Anyway, I wish you all the best!

I always love seeing Pinkie, Dash, and Maud in these stories. They are always exciting and it is always interesting to see how each author shows a different way of telling these ideas or in your case retroactively seeing two slightly different ideas from the same author.
It certainly does not hurt that my favorite duo romantically and not romantically is Dash and Pinkie and so this helps fill that niche in a new way.
3878011 Dash and Pinkie do make quite the duo. Lost Treasure of Griffonstone shows the kind of chemistry they have together, for example. And Maud is always awesome regardless of what situation she's in.
Too true.
