Aquaman

Prithee and well met, thou tempestuous witch of storms, to alight so delicately upon the jet streams of the cerulean sky. Welcome to Spirit Airlines.

Aquaman's Feel-Bad Story Time Hour (Or: At This Point Whatever's Going On with Me and Flurry Heart Is Frankly None of Your Business)

Did you enjoy (in a figurative sense) me writing about Flurry Heart being in a toxic relationship in "And I Hope You Die"? Have you been thinking (in a literal sense), "You know, I bet the result of that toxic relationship's end is going to be that cotton-candy pony princess doing things that would be war crimes if she didn't win the war she crimed in?"

Monophobia Postmortem (Or: I Have Now Released My New Shit and My Fell-Off-Ness Is In a State of Constant Flux)

    "You used to be big."
"I am big. It's the [website] that got small."

(Come on, I've been living literally on Sunset Boulevard for a year and a half now. Gimme just this one bit of referential self-aggrandizement.)

I Ain't Fall Off, I Just Ain't Release My New Shit

That's true, by the way, not just a cheeky two-year-old Lil Nas X reference. I really have been working on lots of stuff over the past year or so: a few TV pilot scripts that I'm generally okay with as learning experiences, some networking-type stuff here in LA with other "pre-WGA" (which is our fun term for "aspiring" [which is our extra-fun

    'Sup

Hey, horsefic folks. How it's hanging?

I hope "in Bellevue" is at least some of your answers, because that's where I'll be in a few hours and will remain through the EFNW weekend. I'll be, as always, six-foot-four and affably daydrunk, so say hi to anyone who meets that description and sooner or later it's bound to be me.

    Regarding Less-Than-Positive Interpretations of Pride

Let's get a quick disclaimer out of the way before we really get going: I don't like foalcon. By "foalcon" here, I refer specifically to M-rated stories that depict characters who are very clearly meant to be minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct with other minors and/or adults. Not a fan of it! I find it gross on a personal level, I think it's morally reprehensible that a site of this

2012

Month in Review · 2:23am Aug 29th, 2012

So let's go over this real quick.

NaPoWriMo: worked on three stories; didn't finish one, barely started the other beyond outlining, and am unabashedly ashamed of the third one. Nowhere near the word count. Barely wrote at all in the last week and a half thanks to college move-in and orientation.

NATG 2: finished Day 1 and Day 6 prompts, and then completely forgot about it. Same time problems as before.

College: is awesome, but had to spend five days of orientation running around doing things that were not writing. Classes start tomorrow, and I have no idea how much free time they'll take up.

And that's what my world looks like today.

Image related.

On the plus side, I finally started (and will be focusing on now that I've gotten most of these side project ideas out of my system) the next chapter of Harmony, which should be out in approximately [you must be new here] days. Stay classy, folks.

Also, have some Alex S. being fucking legit.

When you actually manage to post the next chapter of Harmony, I'll take that as my queue to catch up with the series.

I'll be here for a while.

First semester of college is always the hardest. After that, it's a breeze, unless you're in an actual, difficult major that requires you to do stuff like work. :B

My opening slate of classes is Intro to Computer Music, Beginning Acting, an Italian 103 course that's going to be entirely review for me, and a freshman seminar on Italian protest movements. I'm optimistic.

>Computer Music
what the fuck

I don't even know, really. As far as I can tell, it's half learning to use sound mixing programs, and half listening to really weird underground stuff and talking about how far computers have stretched the boundaries of what "music" is.

As long as I learn how to make backbeats and layer tracks, I can work up from there and just deal with all the rest of it.

It's more that you're going to college 10 years after me and there's more to learn. D:
