Oh man... · 8:05am Apr 8th, 2016
Koji Wada passed away from cancer, aged 42.
So, many of you probably have no idea who this is, given that when you watched Digimon, you were exposed to that aberrant "Digital Monsters"... well, monstruosity... that got smacked into the series and all the crappy music forced on top of the original score.
However, for those who love Digimon, Koji Wada was an integral part of the series, bringing it to life with the intro song: Butterfly; the Digi Evolution song: Brave Heart and several songs through the various incarnations of the series, including the new version of Butterfly for Digimon Tri.
He will definitely be missed and it saddens me that he won't be singing anymore. Goodbye, Koji, and thank you for the wonderful music.
RIP
I loved Biggest Dreamer.
Damn... Same age as me too...
Keep dreaming big Koji.
Oh no... D:
RIP man.
Ah man, I always liked Butterfly and Brave Heart. D:
RIP.
I am very sad now. I love his Digimon songs. :(
Way too young. :(
Ahhhhh, fuck! Digimon Tri won't be the same now, either...
Well god damn.
That just sucks.
I had a grandmother who died of cancer. At the time I was too young to fully understand what was going on, but she is missed.
42 is too soon. Here's hope he achieved most of his dreams before he passed on . . .
