Just had a five minute study break and decided to cycle through the 'Also liked' and 'Similar' tabs on the right of ATF.
Disturbingly, very few of those stories were ever completed. Most lie in hiatus with absent authors, are cancelled, or are dead fics.
Not the most encouraging thing to find after returning. I wonder if this happens to longer dark fics more than I think it does...
In other news, chapter development slowly chugging along, but I picked a shitty time for it. Finals will be over by mid-May, at which point I should have Ashes to Ashes finally finished, if I haven't published it before that (though I doubt it).
Sitting on 14k words and being ~80% finished, I'll probably split it in two and release them side by side.

Finally, I'm planning on renaming the 'Part Two' portions of 'Truth and Tribulations' and 'The Road Less Travelled' to something else. Having the Roman numerals state a different chapter number to the one the site displays whilst reading can confuse even me at times.
I don't know if this will show an update for readers that have ATF in their bookshelf, but if it does be aware that nothing in either of these chapters is being changed other than the titles of the second halves.

Seems that way, yeah. A pity too, I planned on giving some of them a read a while back; no point reading a deadfic if all that it'll create is a sense of longing for an ending that will never come.

I can't recap solely from my plan since I deviated that much from the bloody thing whenever I started plot scheming.
As do I for some of the less action-packed chapters.

Yeah, I really should have informed people of the reason for my absence after a few months, but in retrospect I don't think I could have seen my circumstances coming beforehand. Essentially I just got caught up in a series of unfortunate events (never did like those books).
Searching for a job, searching for affordable accomodation, exam stress, dog died, multiple deaths in the family, all that wretched stuff - and some besides - all at once sort of broke my desire to write or be on the site for a while.
Plan on sticking around for a while now though, barring any unforeseen consequences.
