So this blog space is a thing I can't ignore, try as I might, and it drives me up the wall that I can't seem to find a good way to make use of it. That's why your poor feeds get a weird mix of crude/absurdist gag posts, attention-seeking art shares, lazy gif posts, life/whiney posts, and dry news updates about my writing progress. I had some ideas of doing actual constructive stuff on here. I wrote a short writing advice piece about research methods for story planning derived from my old university files, but I lack confidence in my own authority on the subject, and I doubt anyone would read it anyway. I tried a Second Life blog on the MLP community in the virtual world that was fun, but kind of all over the place. I'm even considering doing micro-reviews for the almost 200 stories I have on my to-read shelf.
I guess I wonder if I should even bother? I could probably force my OCD to do something else. Maybe. It just seems like blogs on this site only really get attention if you know people IRL and/or have a decent number of followers.
...I suppose this would fall under the "whiney post" category? I dunno, just thinking aloud here. I'm not actually seeking to become popular or anything, but it'd be nice to know that my blogs are serving some kind of purpose instead of just taking up FiMFiction's server space.

3850659 yeah, I was saying I wasn't concerned with becoming "popular", but I suppose there's still that element of "I want people to like me!" going on. I guess what I was trying to say is that I hate inconsistency, and since I seem to like blogging so much, I'd like to at least blog something worthwhile. Right now I feel dissatisfied with all the random posts, so I was kind of wondering what would even be appreciated.

Dude, it's your user page. You can post ANYTHING YOU FEEL LIKE, and we can't judge you for it. It's meant for you to post things that can help us get to know you better in one way or another. Your stories... yeah you're going for likes with those, but this? This is meant to be your playground/sandbox for you to be as random, funny, serious, entertaining, angry as you want. GO WILD!!!!!
