First off, the latest Dresden Fillies chapter was the actual chapter, except for the last two paragraphs.
Secondly, I'd like to thank everyone who gave me the immense credit of introducing a truly devious plot twist rather than assuming I had completely gone off the rails.
Thirdly, I need to apologize to anyone I confused by posting a bit early. I first got the idea to add an April Fool's joke to the end while finishing up the chapter on 3/30, but I needed to publish at least by 3/31 to keep my promise of 'one chapter per calendar month'. I tried to publish late on 3/31 to minimize this confusion.
Fourthly, I've gone three for three, and look to keep it up. It's a bit early, but thus far making a resolution (the determination to achieve it) appears to be the most effective way to keep myself writing. I might produce extra stuff when I get more time in the coming months, but I am feeling confident that I will have something out at least once a month.
Fifthly, I enjoyed the opener for the new season. I spent most of it heckling Starlight, but all the same I do like where they appear to be taking her character. It also helped when I realized midway through that only people who experienced the end of Equestria and all of the truly terrible things she caused are Twilight, Spike, and Starlight. Everyone else is so accepting, because they only have an abstract knowledge of her misdeeds, and everything was fixed before they were re-introduced.
Sixthly, there is no item number six.
Seventhly, no poofters.
Have to admit I wasn't quite certain myself since it seemed such an obvius way for Dresden to get bucked in the balls by life, but how Murphy actually used Harry's nickname for the yet unnamed Black Council seemed odd.
Still, good joke, and good on you for keeping it nice and subtle.
I still can't get past the kids eyes.

You know, I get that the Extra stuff you produce are non canonical but maybe if your going to do a scene in Mac's bar where Dresden is looking for some information, you may have Applejack and company get Ciders and say this tastes familiar? As well as Rainbow going nuts over a place that serves cider year round.....

Hu, I thought that was an actual plot twist.
I have enough faith in you after two completed Dresden Fillies that if the last bit of the chapter wasn't an April 1st gag that it still wasn't our Murphy. Though I admit that my mind was spinning like a hamster ball trying to guess where it might go.
Not gonna lie, I've never had the chance to read the dresden files books, though I did play the table top rpg, so I honestly had no clue about the joke.
