So I finished that Equestria Girls fic. It was fun.
A couple of people poked me and said 'write a sequel!' Which, well, I appreciate, but I wasn't quite sure how to follow up. I mean, theoretically I could hammer out a couple more road-trip jokes, but that'd just be padding out stuff I'd already done, you know?
Ironically, it was on a road trip (well, more of a day trip) I took yesterday that I came up with an idea for a follow up. And, well, I went ahead and sat down and hammered out some words and things, and now we have BY THE BLACK AXE OF NIGHTMARE MOON!
It should be noted that both the ALL CAPS and the exclamation mark are essential parts of the title.
But yeah. I've got some fun ideas for this one. The biggest challenge is going to be getting that visceral live music feeling compressed into a prose form. But, since this is the internets, I can at least cheat a little.
For example, I imagine Nightmare Moon and the Children of Darkness sound vaguely like, say, Messiah Force. Check it.
Hey. It was either this or a story about how much Starswirl the Bearded likes beards.
This said, I don't see this story being nearly as long (or nearly as quickly updated) as my last one, but who knows! Stay tuned, and maybe I'll surprise us all.
Considering how Equestrian Luna is the Most Metal Princess, this is exceptionally appropriate. As is Dash making the discovery!
