    New Story out now!

Hey everyone! Remember that thing I said I'd be doing a while back? Well... Here it is!

    Hey guys! What's new?

So, I haven't been here in a good long while. I got the writing itch a while back, specifically for ponies and my old Betaverse fics. I might have something in the pipeline. I've got a few questions I'd like to ask the general pony-reading audience if you don't mind. Just so I can see if my writing style should be tweaked a bit for the modern audience.

    Stardrop's Lackluster Ending

Hello everyone. I know I've been away for a while, but that's due to me deciding to finish stories before I post them to revise, edit, and alter them to give you all better stories to read. I don't feel free to do so when I post stories live. This results in me getting frustrated with how a story is shaping up and then dropping it. That wasn't a problem when I was younger, but it's become one as

Anyone know artists who do illistrations for stories?

I'm low key working on a story which I intend to complete before posting. I'm enjoying being able to go back and improve, tweak, and change things to make the best possible version of the story, and it's nice to not feel like I am bound to a strict schedule of uploads.

A metatextual analisis of "The Bureau: XCOM Declassified" to show how it fits in the series timelines

A lot of people like the rebooted XCOM series, and a lot of people also insist its lore is bad/nonexistent. This isn't true in my opinion, but is the product of the game that sets up the world for the series having been released a year after the first game in the series as a prequel, and also it sucks ass to play. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is not a good game. At all. The story is really good,

My AU's Multiverse · 7:03am Mar 23rd, 2016

These are the versions of Equestria which exist in my AU's Multiverce. I'm publicly posting this to lock it in so I wont change it. Feel free to ask questions about any of these.

0 - Alpha and Beta
1 - Steampunk Equestria
2 - Only Earth Ponies
3 - Cyberpones (Transformers Crossover universe)
4 - Ponies only Intelligent Life
5 - Changelings switch with Pones
6 - Discorded Forever
7 - Anthro Verse
8 - Fallout Equestria (if the M6 were alive in the wastelands at their cannon ages.)
9 - Solar Flare (evil Celestia) Rules (Also some genderflipping)
10 - Actual Horse Universe (Pones look like terran horses.)
11 - Ponies are Centaurs
12 - Nighmear Moon Rules
13 - Crapsack World (Everything goes to hell, period)
14 - True Utopia (There have never been any problems ever)
15 - Cannon FiM (Physics prevents anything that wouldn't be rated TV-Y from occurring.)

We can totally explain Alpha and Beta but not yet. I'm actually writing up something about that. Just premeptively hammering that question out.

3822116 Good catch. It's kinda funny how the worldbuilding for this has gone full colab XD

I think I'd like to visit version #6. (Of course, I am a crazy changeling lover after all teehee.) A lot of interesting sounding AU's, I look forward to seeing how you work with them. ^.^

3822120 Do you mean 5? 6 is the one where Discord was never defeated.

You'd like 5, Chrysalis is the one to move the sun in that verse. Changelings are the civilized people, and Ponies are ether 'tamed' and companions/food for changelings, or living tribal style in the wilderness.

Why not Pinkie? :pinkiegasp:
And "verse" has an "s", not a "c", bee tee dubs.

Nighmear? Have you meant Nightmare or am I not getting something here?

3822123
Yeeah I meant 5. :P Blame my being half asleep but having stories to read hehe. (So many stories on here, so little time! *sigh*)
Oooh yes yes that sounds just like my kind of world. *Finds some type of cross dimensional hole to the world and flies through.*

3822128 Oh that, I just can't spell :P

3822127 Pinkie is a universal constant. There is always a Pinkie, and she's always the same.

3822134 Another thing, in that universe, instead of banishing her 'good' half to become immune to emotional manipulation magics, she decided to instead invest her time in working out a better ward. So she's actually quite nice, though getting on her bad side generally means you die. She docent get mad, she goes bezerk.

3822142
Heh still sounds like my kind of place. I generally don't get people mad. I'm a fairly neutral party. (Especially since in my canon she is more nice. A little crazy sure but who wouldn't be in their conditions? :P)

3822146 Like I sad, Chrysaliss-5 Is very nice. Just dont push her buttons. If you don't you're in for a lovey time. She dose diplomatic meetings exclusively at restaurants, and not fancy ones, rather the hole in the wall diners that serve amazing food. Why? Because A it's nice to offer a guest a meal, B it's diplomatically brilliant to turn a trade negotiation into an evening out with friends, because 'Awww come on, were having a good time, no need to be a dick and try to get another ten percent out of it. Here, have some more potatos.'

3822154
Heh sounds yummy. (And I agree, those 'mom and pop' type diners are quite often better with their food than many fancy restaurants. (And seem to offer you MORE for your money, which is very nice!) Sounds like she'd be better than even Princess Celestia!

3822128 There is a very good reason I am her editor... :trixieshiftleft:

3822159 She's more effective than Celestia is at certain things, but not at others. For example, Tia allows a little democracy, Chrysalis doesn't. On the other side, Tia allows world ending threats to live, Chrysalis doesn't. When Tia found a unicorn with infinite magic she brought her on as a student and kept her isolated fromt he world, involved soly in learning (which admittedly, Twilight liked.)

When Chrysaliss discovered one of her noble's family's 'companions' had a child with infinite magic she adopted her as her own child, and then got other pony foals to raise along side her as sisters, knowing that it would be best for such a pony to grow up a part of a community. (Yes, the M6 in this universe are the adopted Children of Chrysalis, and six of the few few ponies in Equestria which are not second class citizens (not to say that ponies are mistreated, but they are typically livestock/companions/pets))

3822168
That makes sense, after all, nopony or 'ling is perfect. :D
Ooooo I like that idea! Ever plan on making a side story or something for that AU? Or just maybe a chapter or two in another story about it> As I would love to read more of it. :P

3822175 It's on the list of universes Lyra-7 will visit on her quest in my story I've got scheduled for after Lifegiver.

3822178
Oooo well then that is one more story I will look forward to eagerly!

3822184 I'm sadly working on the title still... Because my working title of "Quest for the Mystical USB Charger!" is pritty bad.

3822185
heh I think it is hilarious, if the story is meant to be a comedy? But yeah I hear ya. Titles are hard to think of. I thought I was unique with my Long Live the Queen title, until I saw somepony else make a short with it, then I went and looked it up and saw around 80 other stories with that or similar titles? Of course, probably very few titles that are entirely unique, unless they go with a more unique crossover or something, idk. There is a reason I don't like naming my poems I write for my class, if I was to name them, it would just be something blunt heh. (Like a poem about my cat Tigger I called Tigger. :P)

3822185 I'd read that one-shot.

3822202 So would I... But that's not a longer story's title at all XD

This seems cool. I do wonder about what fictional universes you might add in, though.

3822712 It's important to note that these are just the Equestrias. THere are other univerces too.

No "Universe of Opposite Alignment", where the Mane 6 all have goatees? :rainbowlaugh:

Let's all just try to ignore universe #32 which ended in a Big Crunch due to Pinkie's abuse of the mirror pool...

3822123 This would be a really... awkward universe for mainline/alpha/beta heroes to go visit, I bet. I dub it 'Soylent Equestria', because the food is people! :pinkiecrazy: How well do 'tamed' ponies integrate, socially?

3823542

No "Universe of Opposite Alignment", where the Mane 6 all have goatees? :rainbowlaugh:

That's the one where evil Celestia rules actualy. It's canon to the FiM Comics, except Sombra lost in that one.

As far as Tamed ponies in no 5, they integrate well. They are not kept in cages or anything, it's not crule... Not physically. Basically a 'tamped' pony has been raised to adore changelings, period. Much like how religious children are indoctrinated into the faith through constantly being told X is true to the point where as an adult it's hard or even impossible to change your mind on that topic. So they effectivly will willingly and happily stay with a given changeling as a friend, lover, partner, or whatever that individual desires.

They are technically slaves, but it's not all that bad. They are not mistreated (those which do mistreat them will be executed if caught.) but they do not have the same legal rights as changlings do. It's similar to what would happen if science could make your dog sapient, you'd still own your dog, and there is no way in hell that we would let it vote, hold a job, ectra. (Though ponies are allowed to hold jobs, their earnings go to their 'master'. Which again, they are totally fine with. They have been conditioned from birth to lovingly serve others.)

If that sounds evil... It's realy not. Not from the changeling perspective. By owning their prey, they can ensure that it's happy, healthy, and feeding docent cause distress. The alternative (which was how it was before Changlings took over the world) was to hunt down prey, forcefully drain love, and probably ruin that food source for months to come. (Because they won the orgional Equestrian-Changeling wars, they never socially evolved from predators to symbiotes due to food scarcity.)

3823898

If that sounds evil... It's realy not. Not from the changeling perspective.

Oh, well yeah, it's a different moral foundation in their culture: 'MLP-grade good guys who are emovore predators' can't help but turn out odd. It's probably a lot nicer than how pokemon get treated! :rainbowlaugh: Though I suppose it could also go in some slightly unsettling directions, eg.: do ponies get selectively-bred for docility and other useful traits; what do with 'tame' ponies who decide to stop being 'tame'; etc., etc.

I really do hope you write something with ponies from α/β inadvertently getting dropped on the changelingverse. The confusion and outrage and accidental pony uprisings would be hilarious! :rainbowlaugh:

3823953 Well, they are selectively bread for 'nutrition' purposes. Which has the side effect of making everypony living there extra fluffy for some reason. Not Flufflepuff fluffy, but like, you know, poofy.

3823962 Obviously pony fur acts as a metamaterial emotional radiator. *magiscience*

4838232 It exists, mostly, chillin in my google drive. The end result was basically the beginning of Cataclysm though.
