Priest is Back! And with Drugs! · 2:59am Mar 15th, 2016

Not actually. Actually it's prescribed Prozac.

Holy shiiiiii-

But, if my recent double-feature box onslaught, as well as my one-month late Valentines sequel to Rainy Day Date was any indicator, my productivity has spiked. So, I suppose I should say a few words on everything that's happened in the last few days.

It all began with the podcast with the Good HiE List on Friday, in which I commented I would make a story for them, based on the image they made during the stream. I woke up the next morning, got a cup of coffee, and went to town. After some basic editing, I released the story the same day I wrote it, and here we are. I had way too much fun writing it and I'm proud to see it featured.

Then, there's 'Fake My Death'. I've recently been having some off-and-on conversations with the familiar "Rated Ponystar." He's quite a nice guy and offers 'Writing Practices' to whoever is willing to work with him over skype. It works like this: He asks you some questions. Then gives you a prompt. You write. Then he critiques. It was a nice experience, but I'm not sure I can see myself doing it again. I can't say that everyone hasn't enjoyed the result though, as it's now sitting in featured along with the protection story.

Two stories in featured at the same time? That's gotta be some sort of achievement, right? You'd think so anyway. Now that I've been taking something for my anxheity, I feel like I can focus better. Everything just feels so much easier. I've been way more productive and actually accomplishing things. These two stories are a sort of testament to that. I feel like I'm churning out content in the way that I used to. Frankly, I love that. I've missed being able to just sit down and write.

And then, there's my personal favorite of the three. Sunny Day's Date. I wanted to release this on the Valentines Day weekend, but it frankly wasn't meant to be. The last month has been a crazy mess of doctors appointments, personal drama, life conflicts, as well as extremely high points that made all of the struggles worth it. I plugged a paragraph a day for awhile, just doing my best to get anything down at all. Overall, I'm really happy with the end result. It took some serious help from Venates and Anonpencil to get the story to some sort of reasonable state for release, but releasing this one feels like a sort of catharsis. It feels like I broke a writers block as well as a huge barrier of depression that was keeping me from writing more.

Every time I check Fimfic I have at least 15 notifications. I've had 450+ in the last 48 hours

In addition to these three stories, it's really cool to see 'Twilight Tries Not to Think' in the submissions for Scribblefest 2016. Frankly, I forgot I submitted it at all, and after hearing there was a pruning of submissions, it's cool to see it up against some other really fantastic writers like Regidar-senpai. Will I win? Probably not. But one can dream.

So, then, the magic question: What now?

Well, I've been on this Fimfiction website for two full years now. It's hard to believe how far I've come. I've still yet to deliver on my 1000 follower celebration story- "Parent's Night Out" Re-Mastered. So, that's going to be the first order of business. I'm going to try and plug a little bit at it every day and hope to have it before Babscon.

This July also marks three full years of writing for me. So, I think the best way to celebrate that would be to finish "Fluttershy Wants Into Your Pants." The story has ended up serving as a dumping ground for a lot of my older stories. Having learned my lesson from "The Town Bike", I believe that is where my old stories will stay. After Parent's, the last two stories to upload will be "A Darker Home" And "Jealousy". A Darker Home will be released into Fluttershy Wants in your Pants first, and then Jealousy will be the Canonical Ending to the one-shot archive.

So, then. Where does that leave Office Love and Rainbow Dash Tries to Win Your Heart?

Prepare

Office Love, my pride and joy, has it's entire storyline planned from beginning to end. It's going to be a simple matter of actually writing it. I'm going to be very, very proud to finally finish it sometime this year, but it's going to take a shit ton of dedication. It's going to be at least 40k words of more content.

I also think I will put a nail in RDTWYH this year. I think 30k words sounds fair.

On that note, I have 2 possible collaborations in the works as well as the ASMR project that will likely complete this year. Once the Fluttershy ASMR is completed (the script I've written), I'm stepping down from the ASMR team to focus more on my writing.

Thank you everyone for following along with me for such a long time, new and old. At some point I'll have to do another one of those 'stream' things. It should be a good time.

I just wanted to include another picture.

Until next time, stay awesome.

Good to see things are moving forward for you. Still looking forward to that thing you have planned with Anonpencil. Be sure to give us an ETA on that when you have one. :pinkiehappy:

Holy fuck dude 2 stories featured on the same day and the cadence one came close to being featured too.

Well, it's on me to finish the first two sections, which I'd say are...70% done?
After that, Priest has to put together his part. So no ETA, but there's a progress update.
