    New Story out now!

Hey everyone! Remember that thing I said I'd be doing a while back? Well... Here it is!

    Hey guys! What's new?

So, I haven't been here in a good long while. I got the writing itch a while back, specifically for ponies and my old Betaverse fics. I might have something in the pipeline. I've got a few questions I'd like to ask the general pony-reading audience if you don't mind. Just so I can see if my writing style should be tweaked a bit for the modern audience.

    Stardrop's Lackluster Ending

Hello everyone. I know I've been away for a while, but that's due to me deciding to finish stories before I post them to revise, edit, and alter them to give you all better stories to read. I don't feel free to do so when I post stories live. This results in me getting frustrated with how a story is shaping up and then dropping it. That wasn't a problem when I was younger, but it's become one as

Anyone know artists who do illistrations for stories?

I'm low key working on a story which I intend to complete before posting. I'm enjoying being able to go back and improve, tweak, and change things to make the best possible version of the story, and it's nice to not feel like I am bound to a strict schedule of uploads.

A metatextual analisis of "The Bureau: XCOM Declassified" to show how it fits in the series timelines

A lot of people like the rebooted XCOM series, and a lot of people also insist its lore is bad/nonexistent. This isn't true in my opinion, but is the product of the game that sets up the world for the series having been released a year after the first game in the series as a prequel, and also it sucks ass to play. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is not a good game. At all. The story is really good,

I now have a Patreon. · 3:00am Mar 7th, 2016

I think there are now enough people who would like to donate to my writing, and so, I now have a Patreon!

What is Patreon? It's a web service which allows people to donate money to content creators they like which lets that creator set up various means of how people can donate. All you need is a credit/debit card or paypal and you can very easily donate any amount you like to me, so that I can, well frankly so I can afford more than 2 meals a day at best. Because all donations will be spent on life things, food, rent, bills... I want to write for you guys as a job. It would be nice to get to stop doing odd jobs and freelance work and just write for you guys all the time!

It may now be possible for me to do this, thanks to setting up a Patreon account, and thanks to each and every one of you who decide to send a bit of cash my way. I've set my page up so whatever value you choose, you donate that once per month until you decide to stop. If you want to make a one time donation, PM me and I'll work something out. (I would rather people use my Patreon for all donations, because they put the cash right into my bank account, whereas Paypal actually takes a cut of donations...)

But this isn't all for me, you can get something out of donating too. Now I am poor as hell, so I can't afford fancy rewards like "A 3d printed miniature of a new character every month!", but I can afford the following rewards for my patrons:

Pledge $1.00 or more per month

A dollar buys you eternal gratitude. If everyone watching my page donated 1 buck per month each, I'd be eating well.

It also buys you a spot on my list of patrons which will be linked to at the beginning and end of any story.

Pledge $5.00 or more per month

Five bucks nets you a mention in one of my stories. You simply PM me a characters name, and it goes on a list of names that I use when I need a name for a character not appearing in the story, but who would be mentioned.

Example: You send me the name Jim Richards. Later, while writing, I need a name for a character's therapist. I reference my list, and choose that name, then you get a line in the story reading. ' "You do need help though. Ever hear about Doctor Richards? He's realy nice." '

Pledge $10.00 or more per month

Ten bucks gets you the possibility of having character of yours a minor role in a story. You fill out a small form describing the character, and that form goes into my GDocs. Then when I need say, a bartender, for a bit part in a story if someone has created a bartender, and I find them to be suitable for the scene in question, then your character will be used for the role of 'The bartender Lily talks to for a bit in chapter 14.'

It may take some time before your character appears in a story, but I will do my best to use them all over time.

Naturally, higher level pledges get the rewards of lower level pledges. In the case of people who pledge 10 or more, your Character Mention will be for the character you submit to the NPC pool. The idea is $10+ donors get to create background ponies for my AU. Cool huh?

EDIT:

Massively important thing! If you do pledge, PM me HERE with your Patreon username, and how much you pledged. Then I can get you your rewards. Because I doubt you want your real name on my patrons list >.>

Awesome! And the prizes are sweet. ^.^ I'll totally start donating to help ya! Need to check on how much I can do so tomorrow, but then I can start hehe. *bookmarks patreon so I don't lose it.*

What do I find you under at the patreon site?

Yes, got it. Sorry.

3795195 Every green word in this blog post is a link to my page. If for some reason they are not working for you, here is the URL: https://www.patreon.com/meepthechangeling?ty=h

I'll see what I can do:twilightsmile:

3795213 I appreciate it, and seriously, even a buck is awesome. Because that's a can of tuna. Which is a meal.

I'd support if I was more certain about my economic situation. Sorry.

3795215 I'll see about shooting higher, a dollar seems a little cheap when I'm making 300ish a month:applejackunsure:

3795217 Don't sweat it. I know your boat.

3795221 Donate whatever you wish. I don't care about the amount, don't feel pressured or guilt tripped. Do as you feel is best.

3795233 :yay:you're awesome meep

Are you always on mobile and thus don't see profile pictures? Is that why you don't recognize me bby? :fluttercry:

3795528 /me facehooves epicly, "Oh my god you use the same username!"

Sorry mate, your current profile pic and your patreon profile pic are MEGA different ><

I wish I could, but... America. :twilightangry2:

3795542 different styles, same hat, same crazy hair.

3795833 Mmmm... Let me guess, medical expenses?

3796573
No, more like, "Not 18 or over, so I'm still living with my parents, meaning I actually have no money."

3796697 Ah gotcha. I remember those days... Well sonny, back in '08, afore the dawn of Facbook as a popular thing, this girl was in your shoues. I remember those days, you see, I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the fashion at the time, because the scent would repel the velosaraptors. Anywho, my uncle had just finished inviting this new 'wheel thing'...

3796714

*giggles*

Now, if I could set up a PayPal and be able to do something worth money, then I could donate, but I don't. My best idea so far is to finish my conworlding project, hopefully within the next few years, then make either an RP forum or server, then give people rewards for donating. After the current month and the next month's rent is paid, then have it go straight to me. The problems are-

1. Actually finishing my conworld.

2. Getting the funds to pay for the first few months so people could use it, then decide they like it enough to donate.
