Twilight, Good Night Chapter Naming Project · 8:23pm Mar 2nd, 2016
After a (mostly) comedic blog in which I whined bitched cried bemoaned the fact that I hadn't come up with chapter names when I first started writing the fic, I decided to take the advice of one of the commenters. If you're a reader of Twilight, Good Night or The Shield's Protector, I want to hear from you on what I should name the chapters.
Details below the break.
Okay, so, here's the deal. Twilight, Good Night currently has 20 chapters posted, while The Shield's Protector has 17. I'm leaving it up to you guys to recommend me chapter names.
The rules are quite simple:
1) The name must have something to do with the content of the chapter.
2) The name cannot contain foul language.
3) I reserve the right to decide on a name at any time. There's no time lapse until you see me reply to a comment on this blog saying something like "Yes" or whatever.
That's it.
Rule three is only there because I want it clear that I'm not doing a "by xx/xx/xxx" thing. If I like it, I'll take it.
If you wish to recommend a name, please comment on this blog with the story title, chapter number, and the chapter title you propose. For example:
"The Shield's Protector Chapter 1: Wrought With Worry."
Thanks for reading!
For the lulz.
All TGN. I tried to follow an event or something Twilight/Luna learns about the other, some are just me giving up or trying to convey the feeling. A few I stole from old Roman poets or Milton/Longfellow, as the older poets felt right for Woona.
Chapter 1: Visits By Starlight
2: Enjoy the Present Smiling Hour
3: Quickly, Rumor Flies
4. Monuments More Lasting Than Bronze
5. The First Strains of Music
6. An Invitation
7. Youth Is It's Own Reward
8. Now You Teach Us to Sing (This is actually from Spartacus. "There's a time for fighting and a time for singing. Now you teach us to sing.)
9. The Matron
10. I Heard the Softest Songs of Night
11. A Bevy of Fairest Mares (lols)
12. I Shall Wear Midnight
13. Concerning Family
14. A House Where All's Accustomed (if you haven't read Yeat's prayer for his daughter you should)
15. Dancing Around Questions
16. She Who Searches, Finds
17. Time Takes Away Everything (from the chapter itself. This is actually really close to the original Virgilian statement: Time bears away all things, even our minds.)
18. Even Short Times are Sweet
19. Love Steals In, Disguised As Friendship (Ovid's dating advice included this, amusingly)
20. Books Are the Sepulchers of Thought
well, that was fun. I learned nothing in Criminal Law today
3788171 ... Goddamn those are all unspeakably beautiful and fitting. You, sir, are OP in the best way lol
3788181 naming things is my favorite
3788192 I can tell lol
3788210 Yeah, Cynewulf is massively OP. You're welcome to try the other one, if you'd like ^^;
3788256 Other story lol. I did a blog for TSP too.
3788181
I should note, here, since it looks like you've used all of these chapter names:
"Youth Is It's Own Reward" should be "Youth Is Its Own Reward." The "it's" was wrong.
Unless I'm missing something and it's intentionally misspelt![:twilightsheepish:](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightsheepish.png)
