Ever Wonder What a Marazon Looks Like? Now We Know! · 10:36pm Feb 21st, 2016
The Amazon mares I've affectionately dubbed, "Marazons" in my story Mad Seeress of the North are an homage patterned after the ancient Greek female warriors, especially how I remember them in the 1970s Wonder Woman comics and in the wonderful t.v. series, Xena: Warrior Princess. Last week Equestria Daily featured a cosplay video called, Cosplay Remix: MY LITTLE PONY WARRIORS. When Tale Weaver sent me the link, I practically fell out of my chair in shock. THESE WERE EXACTLY WHAT I COULD IMAGINE THEM TO BE LIKE!!! Except of course, they'd be toned down in color to blend in with their surroundings when on war campaigns, lol.
While each of these creative mares, er ladies is patterned after one of the Mane Six (and Princess Luna), I can imagine how they would fit in to the Marazon divisions. Something like this:
This Princess Luna has the look, the attitude and especially the lunar symbol of the Princess-worshipping Marazons and their leader, Queen Ainippe:
The archers and their beautiful bows would look like this Fluttershy cosplayer:
The strongest of the Marazons would be patterned after this Applejack cosplayer:
The doomed Pegasai scout division including their lone survivor Fly Away remind me of this Rainbow Dash cosplayer:
The strategists and Councilmares of the Marazon race are the unicorns, reminiscent of this Twilight cosplayer:
An army would be incomplete without their bards, such as this Rarity, harp-playing cosplayer:
I hope you've enjoyed this peek into the possibilities of what the Marazon race could look like. The only race in Equestrian history to have frustrated our King of Shadows in his war to capture a most sought-after prize! Thank you again, Tale Weaver, for this amazing video!
