Hey everyone. It's the Friday after an update, so it's question time. I'd also like to tell you guys I'm going to start posting art more regularly than now. There will still be rewards and whatnot, but I wanna get more of my artwork out there so I can eventually start doing commisions because I am crazy broke.
Anyway, the rewards will probably shift towards the direction of unused concepts for story characters, or maybe fully polished images of secondary characters like my beloved anxiety-riddled zebra Earl. Or I dunno. I might take requests, like somebody awhile back asked me for a size chart to help their vision of character relations. Or I could do something else I've been meaning to and tell everyone what voices I have in my head for certain characters, like adult Spike and Sombra.
Dunno. It's kind of up in the air right now, but I'll still find a way to show a little of the boundless thanks I have for you guys. So without further ado, let the questions flow.
*Edit* Also, check out this guy. He has no relevance to the story whatsoever, but I'm proud of him.
So with nearly forty chapters and currently 168,669 words in total, I've been wondering, how close do you think you are until the end? Don't get me wrong, this is quite the story, a very good one at that. But even we writers know when we're getting close to the end.
3764579 I'd say we're sixty percent in. I've had to space things out a bit differently than I originally planned, so it's a rough estimate. This is my longest story by far already, and initially I thought it would have ended at a hundred thousand words or so. So this is something of a learning experience for me.
We are quite a ways in though, so I can't say I imagine the story running much longer than... November, or December? Don't quote me on that though.
1. So do the height chart and the voice that would be so cool.
2. Sense Sunday was Valentine's day I have so questions related to that. First do you think Hearts and Hooves day is like Thanksgiving for Changelings?
3. So can H & H for the Sombra and Spike be Spike coming home from a hunt finds a tail of roses leading to their bedroom finding rose pedals turn into a heart around their bed. At it's side is a cart with lots of food and a chocolate fountain,and candles maybe some made with joke. Finally on top of the bed is Sombra with a rose in his mouth, some hair and fang stuff that Spike would love and maybe stockings/soaks if that's your thing.. All that really matters is the rose in Sombra's mouth though.
4. You know taking the kids home would be a good reason for Rainbow Dash to visit.
5. Hey for April fools or what ever they call it in there will do you think Spike just cooked the most meatest thing he can think of when everyone's over just has a gross out prank?
6. If Spike could turn himself into a pony for lets say 24 hrs what type would he be and what would he look like?
7. What type of parent's are Gilda and Flutttershy? Type A or B?
8. Are we going to see Spike and Sombra go the the Gala together and the the Games?

1. I'll probably make an updated height chart eventually, and yeah voices are gonna be one for sure.
2. I imagine they really like the holiday, yeah. I don't think Equestria has a thanksgiving because Hearth's Warming kind of is that already? Hmm. I think I might have Clypeus and company involved in the Heart's and Hooves festivities. Good idea. I'll try and remember to credit you.
3. I don't plan romantic chapters in advance very much. I like to let the situations evolve organically in my mind. Roses are a very likely element though. Lol.
4. It would, but to be honest I don't have huge roles for the mane six planned, but we'll see a lot of them in winter chapters. Specifically around Hearth's Warming.
5. Like... A hydra neck/head? That'd freak people the fuck out.
6. I'd say he'd go pegasus, so long as it's only cosmetic change. Actual change... Hmmm... Unicorn? I imagine he'd look a lot like Soarin, but purple and green? His mark would probably be a scroll burning green, with like, a phoenix feather quill?

9. Is the Crystal's heart one of the first blood's hearts or is it a god's heart?

11. If Spike could have any wish for anything in the world what would it be? Also let's assume that Dootha's already dead and no everyone he loves lives as long as he does. Personally I think Spike would wish that He and Twilight where mother and son from day one. Still waiting for that explained by the way.

9. Technically in this universe it's part of Dootha since the crystal is made of the magic his corpse left behind. It's basically just an especially dense chunk of crystal with tons of magic in it that the former rulers of the crystal empire crafted into a defensive weapon. It was taken originally to be drained and destroyed but things went south before that could be carried out.

11. I'd actually say Spike would wish for a day, a day where he could just be visited by his family for a short time. Like Phomac. As much as it would hurt, he would want to know them. At least a little. Or maybe he'd wish for books containing their life stories?
