I figured you'd be interested in some of the songs that touched on certain nerves in me for the Act II finale. Warning: they're all a bit odd in their own way.
For the parts about Babs' birth parents and their ill-fated romance (which you will soon find out about in full), this song always came to mind:
Cameo doesn't strike me as a Madonna type, but for some reason this song is like her leitmotif...
This song is basically the same for Mosely as the top one is for Cameo.
Coco, third verse same as the first.
Apparently the "general atmosphere" is Japanese dance music and I don't know why.
And lastly, the song that ended up being this arc's namesake:
Finale's out tomorrow, by the way! Since I consider this arc to be an "ending" in some ways (not to the series itself, but to the course I'd originally planned it out to be), there might be a "pre-postscript" afterwards wherein I talk about random thoughts I had over the past two years and give out thank yous to fans. (Warning, they will be very Jimmy Fallon in nature, so expect them to be inside jokes about silly things.)
Also, a quick warning: the events in tomorrow's part might seem final to some readers, but there will be an Act III. It will still be marked incomplete, and that much will not be a mistake on my part. It'll just be the end of the Act I/Act II half that I originally projected before I came up with enough ideas to extend it.
So after all this Act II stuff's done, I'm going on a date with a certain someone on here on Saturday. Never thought I'd end up touching someone in that way with my stories, but I can't say I'm anything other than overjoyed with this development.
Eh, I prefer the Twilight Guardian version of La Isla Bonita better.
