I mean, we've discussed stories you and I both like, discussed stories you've written, various ideas and things in the past... we've talked about life and such.

3738368 Guess it'd have to be Twilight. Rarity did interest me for a time—the self made mare and the pinnacle of fabulosity she is—but it's always come back to Twilight. Whenever I draw pone, it's usually Twilight; whenever I write pone, it's usually Twilight; and it's very easy to fall in love with her because she's the center point of the show. The finales and premiers are based around her, she's had the most amount of episodes dedicated to her, and she's shown up in nearly every episode... she's the focal point, and she's very hard to ignore as such. And she's always been interesting—her foibles, her quirks, her dorky charm, it's always captured me. In the spirit of the brony cliché, she really does remind me of me, but more of... who I'd like to be (minus the deliberating neuroses). I want to be the kind of student she is, and I want to have the kind of friendships she fosters, and I want to have the kind of drive she has. Hell, I even want to be as INVOLVED in my neuroses as she is.
Overall, she is a gorgeous pony who never fails to intrigue and entertain me, so even when I didn't realize it, she's been at the top. Plus unicorn master race, duh.

Obviously I feel similarly. I have never truly recovered from Twilight's ascension. Of course this is a cartoon, which costs money to make, and its story has to move along in a require that benefits both commercial AND artistic require. That makes me feel the worst, really. The fact that I understand that, and yet... just can't make amends with it.
Having lived as a self-described "nerdy bookworm", wanting to be a part of a group and eventually making friends of such wonderful diversity in my life, I feel that the character of Twilight in MLP:FiM never got to fully appreciate what it meant to develop and nurture actual friendships before her "Alicornification".
