Well life, you really know how to put a damper on things. · 10:45am Feb 5th, 2016
I have some sad news. I had been contemplating if I should tell you guys or not. But I think it best to let you know.
A few days ago. I woke up in the early morning, for reasons you can easily guess. On my way back to bed I saw the kitchen light was on.
I found my mother standing in the middle of the kitchen bawling her eyes out. I learned that earlier that night her mother, my grandmother, had passed away in her sleep.
She had been fighting against her failing body for the past 7 years or more. She was a very stubborn woman as her doctor said she wouldn’t live threw one more year. This was roughly 6-7 years ago. She far surpassed that doctor's prrdiction.
The last 4 months have been very rough for her and my grandfather. She had multiple strokes and heart attacks, and finally her liver shut down.
I'm currently out of town for the funeral and I did not bring my laptop with me (which is an 8 year old Sony vaio, and is giving me lots of problems.) But I do have my tablet with me. So i'll see for the tablet version of gdoc works for editing with a blue tooth keyboard... Well if I can find free time and privacy in my hotel room i'm sharing with my folks that is.
Like I said I felt on the fence about telling you guys. But letting you know lifts some weight off of my chest. And I want to assure you it won't effect the story.
So. I should be home on Sunday, as long as weather permits it. See you later everypony.
i know the feeling, but with friends and family at your side you can make it through.
when i listen to these two songs, i remember those that have passed to the next life.
Don't write. Take the time to mourn.
Would your folks find it a bit rude or something if your working on anything but morning for you grandmother? Not trying to sound rude, just . . . I dunno, morn for yourgrandma or something? So tired . . . Curse you coffee.
Very sorry to hear. *Hugs* Don't worry about the writing, unless you want to write.
3734577 not the way my folks work. Truthfully my mom is lucky the HR manager was on the clock when I asked for the time off, and not the store manager. The store manager is known for refusing funeral time off requests for all but children and spouses. You would be lucky if he aproved sudden time off for your parents.
