Hmmm... chapter 117... · 5:00pm Jan 29th, 2016
As i near 20k words... im beginning to realize that this is going to be too long for a single chapter. Luckily, at the 7000 word mark theres is a spot where i can cut it in two. It will be an abrupt halt in the action, but that will leave me with 13k words of chapter 118 already written, meaning i can have two updates out fast.
So i think i'm going to do just that. Besides... i'd hate for a certain... part near the beginning to fall into the shadow of the rest of the chapter 
So chapter 117 will be split into 117 and 118 meaning you expect the next chapter to be out VERY soon.
CALM! I told you not to kill Rainbow Dash! Now how are you going to finish the story?

It's not organized chapter by chapter. Before each chapter i refer to it, and decide how far forward i want to move before ending the chapter. And on many occasions im forced to change that end mark for length reasons

oh i don't doubt that you could handle it, it just started getting too long from my perspective, especially since something at the beginning of the chapter and something at the 'end' that will now be in the next chapter will compete for hilarity.

Also, thank Celestia for no preggers Wonderbolts. That phase of life is crazy enough without, you know, uncontrollable black magic and Shadowbolts on your tail.
