On the subject of CROSSOVERS! (Or, this should have been my 150 likes special, but I got too eager to wait!)

Well I've been getting messages...
.....and messages...
.....and messages.....
.....and messages....!
And they all ask if I would be willing to do a crossover. Well, first I would like to say that I am open to the idea of crossovers, but only if they seem to make sense to my story's pace. However, it never hurts to plan ahead! So I ask of all my readers, if they are interested in having Ethan/Mysterio make a crossover, who might he meet?

So far I've been in discussions of having my Displaced character encounter a cyborg (by Thisguyhere) and a SPD Commander (by cyberlord4444) but who else is interested in meeting up? What other characters are out their with amazing contributions? Who else could use a Master of the Arcane Arts at their side?

So I ask my readers to describe your character and their possible reason for wanting to meet Ethan/Mysterio below. I'm curious as to how many readers are actually interested in my crazy little story.

Perhaps a 'fellow' marvel villain by the name of Doom? Though the situation would be open to thy wills as for if/when/how. Perhaps from some assistance to other actions as requested, because by what friends and enemies one has. Does give a impression of what power the individual is if not those who support him or her, though more heroic types may be less than 'willing' from our own guesses.

Well my character Black Alice much like Ethan is neither a hero or a villain and is also a Master of the Arcane Arts (only hers are real and not special effects) so she could give Ethan a few actual spells to use in exchange for working for her part time (and if he needs actual money she could give him that too). And since Ethan is an actual special effects guy he could give Alice some assistance on this little "project" she's working on that will require a lot of....dramatics worthy of Mysterio Master of the Arcane Arts!

Been watching the story for a while, and rather like where it's going, certainly wouldn't mind chucking over someone like Wayde, The Boogeyman, at cha', but like you said, it can be a bit tricky to find a neat story reason to include someone. Still, this can be solved easily enough if you spit ball a few ideas with the person you want to include in your story. It's perfectly fine to have a goal in mind for someone elses character, because it is the interactions in between them that give the reader something to feel engaged with.
But, getting off topic to gush, at any rate, why are you asking questions (<-- sarcasm, stories can hit a wall, and sometimes you really just NEED an outside pair of eyeballs or three) rather than writing a new chapter, because even if you don't see a reason to cross with someone elses character, I'd at least like to have the fun of reading more of your story?
