Merry Christmas!
Last month my family moved into a new house. Unboxing the basic necessities took a few hours. Getting an internet connection took four weeks.
You don't really appreciate a paltry 20 Mbps DSL connection until you've spent a month living in fear of your cell phone plan's data cap. Last night I finally finished reading the backlog of posts on EqD, and my fimfic feed. Now I just need to see about the 1600+ stories on my Read It Later list…
My two Spike-focused stories are complete, my last stories of 2015. Posting A Dragon's Age in particular is a bittersweet feeling, as it's the last story I had yet to publish that's tied to The Writeoff Association. The story idea was in my head for most of this past summer, but I first put down some words from Spike's perspective for a minific contest (and while subsisting primarily on cold meds). My currently highest rated stories were forged in the writeoff crucible, but at least for now I'm stepping back to work on some projects that just don't fit into the contest mold for one reason or another. We'll see where this path takes me.
