Plans for Sunset Shimmers · 7:47pm Dec 20th, 2015
Greetings, one and all!
So, to start off this post, the next chapter is nearing completion. I'm aiming to have it up before Christmas Day (or hey, maybe that could be my Christmas present to you all 
)
Now then, regarding the rest of the story:
I began this story 2 years ago, shortly after the first EQG movie came out. As I'm sure you can imagine, I never intended it to go on this long - the trouble is that things kept getting in the way. Work (boooo), illness (booooo!), more work because prev. work was only temp (BOOOOOO!!!!), and ultimately I just started to lose my motivation to write. The spark that I had when I started this story just kept dying out, and I only wrote whenever it rekindled.
Now, that's not to say I'm gonna cancel it, don't worry. But I AM gonna wrap it up. I still have some ideas for chapters that I wanted to do, and I had plans to stretch out Starlight Glimmer and Sunset's moral dilema longer over their respective Sunset Shimmer stories. Sadly though, as I said, I've lost the original spark that I had for this story, so I'm ultimately just going to wrap it up.
To that end, there are seven chapters remaining before I officially call this tale to a close (including the one that's almost done). They may seem rushed, they may seem sloppy, and for this I apologise 
To me though, the bigger crime would just be not finishing it at all. I WILL bring these stories to the conclusions I had planned out a couple year ago, they're just... gonna be a tad more sudden than I originally desired :S
That's all really, hopefully I can wrap up Sunset Shimmer quickly before the flames die out again and I end up delaying for another year >< As my current job has now moved up to permanent, I MAY finally have a bit more leniency with writing. We'll have to see.
Thank you all for the support over the years that really should have been months, and I hope you all enjoy what I have planned for these last seven chapters :)

Then, get back to writing yet more Trixie, or better yet, an entire series on Leon!
Bah, I really need to get back on that chat, but I never see anyone commenting on there anymore. Or maybe I got removed and didn't know.
Sorry to hear that you've lost the spark for it (I hate when that happens with my stuff). Cool that you're finishing it off though, looking forward to reading the last chapters and seeing where it ends up!

I've got one more major story in the works (been in the works for a WHILE, but I do intend to finish it after this one) that stars the Great and Powerful one. After that, anything else I write of her will just be quick one-shots, if and when the inspiration strikes me. I've found those kinds of stories are the ones I have the most fun with, and thus the ones that (IMO) turn out better :3

I've already cancelled two stories due to lack of motivation/knowing where to take it, I'll be DAMNED if I do it a third time! XD That's why my policy now is to finish a story completely before I begin to upload chapters. That way if I lose my spark part-way through, or I find out "Huh, I only had a few ideas for this but no clue how to bridge the gaps", the audiance doesn't suffer for it :P
