To all 300 of you who faved or tracked The Trial of Fluttershy Flutters... · 12:53pm Dec 10th, 2015
Thanks for said fave or tracking. I do so love to write--in fact, it's pretty much what I've done my whole life. Unfortunately, life isn't always so easy. We all need money, and my patreon is my only source of income. It would be incredibly helpful if you pledged even just a dollar per chapter released. I'm not going to stop writing if I don't get support, I just want you all to know that I do need support.
And to those of you following me who already know about the patreon, I apologize for taking up space on your feed.
Id help but im boke sorry
Sorry broke
I have several thousand dollars in the bank and will hopefully have a job soon!
Have some money!
I feel the need to point out, since I've seen several of these blog posts from you so far. Making money off fanfiction is a very iffy prospect to begin with, since you don't own any of the properties involved. Mentioning you have a Patreon for anyone who wants to donate is one thing, but you have made it pretty clear you intend to survive off this money...
Well, the old expression, 'don't quit your day job,' really applies here. Writing is a hobby, not a career for 99.9 percent of writers. Don't pin your hopes on making a living off of it. If nothing else find some kind of part time employment, and use Patreon as a supplement until it really takes off. Even if you have some crippling physical disability, plenty of people work from home...
Well anyway, my point is instead of shamelessly begging for money in numerous blog posts (which is likely to get people to stop following you,) why not just end the author's note of every chapter you release with something like 'My Patreon page is here if you want to support my creative work.' and make it a link to the page. It would be a lot classier and less of a legal gray area than your current strategy of 'I can't make money any other way, please give me money!' on numerous blog posts...
Just my 2 cents.

You assume I have a day job. Or that I can find employment. In this economy, in this country, right now... I've looked, and found nothing.
