Probably the Saddest Sentence Thus Far · 4:21pm Dec 7th, 2015
Once Babs gets filled in on the information concerning Coco, she doesn't quite respond how you'd think she would. At first, I had her just having blind anger towards Mosely, but then this heart-killer popped into my head:
"I haven’t seen him at all the past few years, and I’m sure Uncle Momo will be just as excited to see me."
I had always headcanoned that Babs stayed with Mosely and Bambi for about a month or so before Mosely found out she was his ex-wife's child with what he saw as a lesser stallion. So that lead me to figure that there was at least a part of him that had wanted to take Babs in since he saw her as a random relative in need of help like he did with Applejack. And from there, I wondered if he'd even ever told Babs to her face how little he respects her due to matters she couldn't control. This can mean several devastating little things:
1.) Babs never knew that Mosely drove her out and still thinks it was an accident or that he was too busy at the time to help.
2.) Babs saw him as a parental/relative figure (and still does).
3.) Babs thinks what Mosely's doing now is to protect her and that he (like Bambi) misguidedly sees Coco as a threat.
4.) Babs knew him well enough and loved him enough to give him a nickname, for crying out loud.
And speaking of crying, my final verdict on this whole thing:
Oh, and next part's coming out this week.
