This is Not Goodbye · 1:59am Nov 17th, 2015
Sorry if the blog title scared you, but it really isn't goodbye. I fully intend to return- Wait, let begin at the beginning. I'm sure some of you have noticed how sporadic my updates have been of late. I apologize for that, but these things happen. Work is... well, it's work, and when I get home, I tend to just turn on Skyrim to unwind, rather than write (takes less brain power). As a result, my Muse has gotten rather apathetic lately; something about ennui. She has all but lost interest in helping me with Amore Obbligato. As we speak, chapter 11 sits half finished on my hard drive, waiting for me to get my butt in gear. Believe me, I have tried many, many, many times to start back up with it, but my Muse says no dice. I hope to return to it when she stops being a lazy punk, but for now, I have to put it on hiatus, rather than risk putting out another substandard chapter.
In the meantime, I'm going to try writing something different, not related to ponies (though they may show up tangentially). I'll post more about this when I have a whole chapter up, but it will definitely appear on my fanfiction.net account, though I may have to find another place if it doesn't really count as fanfiction. We'll have to wait and see on that. I had considered writing an 80's style cops show spoof with perhaps Lyra or Vinyl Scratch as the main protagonist, but as time wore on, I became daunted by the logistics of the premise. Well, that, and not being sure I could keep it from devolving into a complete mess of cliches and stupid jokes. Perhaps another time.
So, there you have it. I'm going to try my hand at writing something other than pony words, and hope it doesn't turn out as cringeworthy as my first fanfic ever (which can also be read on that other site). I'll keep you all posted when it comes out, so the people who want to read it will know. Sorry again, folks. ^_^;;
The chapters are usually worth the wait.
I will continue to look forward to them in the future.
A story this good is worth the wait! Take your time, I will probably check out your fanfiction account, I might even read something! (If I am familiar with the original work of course.)
Well can't be helped. But I'll be keeping an eye on the fics I'm following.
It's okay. Skyrim does that.
Preaching to the choir, here.
I miss your horsewords, but I can understand life being life and not having the energy for creativity when life is being super-extra-lifey.
I come to this site to keep up with like, 3 authors at this point and you're one of them. I shall continue to check every week or two to see if I have any notifications in my feed, and shall be elated whenever it ends up being a chapter by you. So basically, business as usual.
That said, I hope you manage to strike a balance between work, leisure and creative pursuits because it's always seemed like you enjoyed writing and I hope you can get back to it. For your own sake and not just all of ours with the hunger for more adorable Twilight Sparkle romancin' pones.
Good luck on your new endeavor. Maybe it will be just as addicting as your sexy horsewords?

I hope you like what you see there. Just try not to cringe too much if you read my really old stuff.

D'aw, stop. You're making me blush. I do enjoy writing; it's a good release valve for some of my emotions.
