To call the place beautiful, no one would choke,
Though hard on the hooves, they'd exclaim.
But high in those hills, past the rocks and the rubble,
So high that the clouds were below,
Lived two redneck clans that were nothing but trouble.

Now the clan to the West, that thought it was best,
Wore the name Hooffield like shoes.
And the stallions and mares passed on down to their heirs
A great talent to grow lots of food.
Now in clan number two, growing food wouldn't do,
So the ponies of Family McColt
Would look down and bellow at food-growing fellows,
And build things with screws, planks, and bolts.
For days without end these two neighbors would bicker
As to whose family was best,
And the pumpkins and hay bales would fly ever thicker
From morning to night, without rest!
Okay, that's as far as I can go. I can't take credit for that, in case you were wondering. Well, not originally, anyway.
So if you haven't figured it out yet, I saw yesterday's episode. Still can't find the Nightmare Night one, though...

Anyway, I don't have any big speculations about this one, aside from an observation that it's getting really late in the season for Iron Will or Lightning Dust to show up with friendship problems. Oh well, I guess you'll have to go elsewhere for minotaurs and Wonderbolt rivals having adventures...
Though seriously, I actually wrote something again! Not a new story, though I still have plenty of ideas and am getting plenty of non-fanfiction practice in to greatly improve my writing. No, in fact I just sat down today and wrote a new chapter for my ongoing adventure fic that barely got off the ground months and months ago, and you can find by clicking the above hyperlink, and contains such things as I hinted at in that sentence, set to a backdrop of political intrigue and heavy-duty worldbuilding. Tons-of-fun! (vote for this. it's the best video ever. seriously, i can watch it over and over and over again...)
It's not published yet (the new chapter), but it will be. Stay tuned. Same cow-time, same cos-channel.

Looks like Big Daddy McColt is the last surviving Greybeard. No wonder he doesn't grow his own food. Fus-Roh-Dah!

As soon as I saw that cake, I was shouting "TROJAN CAKE!" at my buddy over Skype. Good times were had.
