Why I Don't Write Here Anymore

I suppose it's been on my mind for a long time, but it never really occurred to me until recently. And because a few of you have been waiting for some projects I promised I'd finished, you deserve to know, as well.

    This exists . . .

This is a thing that exists. This was made with effort, and money.

And Hasbro actually put their name on this.

    . . .

    . . .

    . . .

I'm gonna step away from this one.

My good friend needs some support

You all probably know HudsonHawk, especially if you know me. Even though I've never met the man in person, he's my best friend on this site, on the internet, and probably ever.

    Embarking on a new venture

Recently I discovered a site for content creators called Daisie. It allows people to post their work and ask for collaborators, and it was created by actress Maisie Williams, whom many of you might know as Arya Stark from Game of Thrones.

Thoughts on "Friendship Games" · 2:16am Sep 27th, 2015

Yep, just aired. Here are my thoughts:

The expectation (not mine, really) was that human Twilight was just a discount Fluttershy. To an extent, that's true. But she's also anxious and has low self-image, and is also a sweet, nerdy hottie genius in way over her head. I've had a lot of her feelings in the past, where not having friends and being alone are concerned. So, I really enjoyed her character.

Every scene she was in, I fell in love with Fluttershy all over again. :yay::heart:

Ashleigh Ball as Rainbow Dash really brought her A-game in the music area. Her song near the beginning was pretty cool. And this is coming from someone who can't stand Rainbow Dash. (It would help if human Dash wasn't so damn hot! :raritydespair:)

We got to see Cadance and Shining Armor! Nice! And Cadance does work for the school, as I predicted. She wears a skirt, though, not as I predicted. Not that I'm complaining about that, mind you. She looks damn good. :raritywink:

Twilight building a pendant device that even she doesn't know what it does? A bit far-fetched. But having her steal magic without meaning to was kind of clever, and having the pendant move the portal from the statue to . . . everywhere . . . . was interesting. Love Spike's Portal gag! :rainbowlaugh:

But he gets zapped with magic, and suddenly he talks? Weird . . . .

I wish they'd spent more time developing the Crystal Prep students (aka the Anti-Mane 6), instead of just giving them one character trait each and have them use it throughout the whole movie. And their change of heart at the end was a bit sudden. Overall, a bit of a disappointment.

I liked the villain, though. Principal Cinch was the most detestable villain I've seen since Starlight Glimmer. Cunning. Manipulative. Stone-hearted. All excellent traits in a villain we love to hate!

Sunset's character arc has wrapped up perfectly! She started out as a misguided villain wanting revenge and satisfaction. Now, she takes it upon herself to curb the magic she thinks she brought with her from Equestria. She's also shown mental aptitude that is at least on par with Twilight. Seeing her yelling at Twilight was heartbreaking, and I felt sorry for them both, but Sunset's bravery at the end was the best way for her to prove herself worthy and end her quest of friendship, going from student to mentor in a really beautiful way.

I admit, complaints could be made about most of the movie. But even haters have to admit, the third act is SO WORTH IT!! Seeing Twilight transform into a super sexy super powerful demon was a shock, and a great callback to the first EG movie. Very harrowing to see the world crumble around them with portals to Equestria showing up all over.

And of course, Sunset summoning the magic to transform into an even sexier all-powerful friendship angel was excellent! The confrontation between the two was a bit short, but it was another great homage to anime in a lot of ways. That, and Sunset reaching out to Twilight with her "I know how you feel" speeches was really heartfelt. I loved it, and in my opinion, it made the whole movie worth watching.

And finally, the end gag with pony Twilight coming back was funny. :pinkiehappy:

Overall, this was probably the best Equestria Girls movie of the set! Loved it!

Yeah, I enjoyed the movie too. And I don't blame ya on Rainbow being really hot. I really don't. But, I did had a question that's been burning in my mind while I was watching it. You can check it out on my blog post, cause I don't feel like writing it over again. :twilightblush:

Do you think there will be a 4th Equestria Girls movie in 2016? If so, then what do you think thw plot will regard(depending on the ending)?

Aside from the HUGE u-turn I thought the movie made with the climax, (Seriously, they managed to make a WORSE design then demon Sunset, how do you do that?! And they made my waifu evil, not a fan of that. :fluttercry:)I still had a good time and it was worth the wait. I'd put this below Rainbow Rocks and just slightly above the first one. Also, I thought the villains were probably the worst out of this franchise. :ajbemused:

3422938 Not sure. I think things are pretty well wrapped up now, so there's really no need for another one, I think.

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME HOW TOO SEE THIS IF YOU DON'T HAVE A TV???

3422968 Exactly! Where can I watch this?! Youtube made poop out of the other videos!!!

Yeah, the character designs were really attractive...

I MEAN "THE MOVIE WAS PRETTY GOOD, AND I AM NOT ATTRACTED TO ANY OF THE CHARACTER DESIGNS WHATSOEVER." :twilightblush:

Whatever, the designs were pretty good (both normally and in that oh-so-special way :rainbowwild:)

Human Twilight is my waifu now.

3422968 I'm sure you can find it on YouTube.

3423033

Nope. At least not yet.

Love all three movies but friendship games is my number one favorite now. Glad I got to see it I loved every bit of it great movie.

Tell me what exactly happened.

3423510 You really want me to spoil it even more? :applejackunsure:

A good end to the EQG franchise, in my opinion. If they make another, I'd watch it; but I feel that this about wraps up that arc.

In my opinion, it's only slightly better than Rainbow Rocks. While it felt a bit rushed at a few places, it made up for it with its great character development, both of Twilight and of Sunset. I especially like the idea of Sunset becoming sort of a teacher to Human Twilight; it really wraps up her entire character arc!
