Have you ever wondered what a descussion about writing scenes in a collab are like? Well, let me offer you this once-in-a-lifetime opertunity to see one of these top-secret conversations.

ah collabs. reminds me of my early writing years with the Chess Game group. *shudders* it was like author puberty.
Oh lordy, that's so painfully accurate. I was one of the Big Wigs at the Chessgame of the Gods group Musicman wa spart of and holy balls it was insane.
3371372 Thankfully, we do have serious conversations, but often enough we get off on this kind of tangent. It's actually beneficial, as it is quite therapeutic.
3371403 Oh, I know the feeling. The sheer number of 20+ author collab attempts that went in this kind of insane direction ws mindblowing, but it was so much FUN. Honestly it's these 'wait, why did we start talking aobut this?' moments always felt like the most fun, if least productive, parts of such a mega-collab like the Chessverse was.
...and then it became '100% serious 100% of the time' and all of the fun got sucked out of it....

3371495 Me neither, why do you think I left the group? The demand that EVERYTHING MUST BE SERIOUS killed it for me. Shit like arbitrary limitations on things 'because it ruins balance', as if it was a boardgame isntead of a writing universe, among other things, not to mention having to leap through hoops of all sorts just to get a single chapter done and posted[everything had to be approved unanimously and that meant any personal issues could muck up someone's story brutally and soemone could demand story-demolishing changes on a whim]
3371681 Well, honestly, that's kinda expected for a collab that big. That's why I make sure anyone that writes a side story in this knows that they will have to work around the core stories, or they can make it non-canon. It's also why I have the core stories on completely separate worlds. Less of a chance of stepping on each others toes.

3371990 its a 2[soon to be 3] story collab, though only one is here on fimfiction. it's a Godziilla/mlp crossover collab. the other fic in it is on fanfiction.net because it's not set in equestria itself, and the last is still up in the air.
