Aquaman's Feel-Bad Story Time Hour (Or: At This Point Whatever's Going On with Me and Flurry Heart Is Frankly None of Your Business)

Did you enjoy (in a figurative sense) me writing about Flurry Heart being in a toxic relationship in "And I Hope You Die"? Have you been thinking (in a literal sense), "You know, I bet the result of that toxic relationship's end is going to be that cotton-candy pony princess doing things that would be war crimes if she didn't win the war she crimed in?"

Monophobia Postmortem (Or: I Have Now Released My New Shit and My Fell-Off-Ness Is In a State of Constant Flux)

    "You used to be big."
"I am big. It's the [website] that got small."

(Come on, I've been living literally on Sunset Boulevard for a year and a half now. Gimme just this one bit of referential self-aggrandizement.)

I Ain't Fall Off, I Just Ain't Release My New Shit

That's true, by the way, not just a cheeky two-year-old Lil Nas X reference. I really have been working on lots of stuff over the past year or so: a few TV pilot scripts that I'm generally okay with as learning experiences, some networking-type stuff here in LA with other "pre-WGA" (which is our fun term for "aspiring" [which is our extra-fun

    'Sup

Hey, horsefic folks. How it's hanging?

I hope "in Bellevue" is at least some of your answers, because that's where I'll be in a few hours and will remain through the EFNW weekend. I'll be, as always, six-foot-four and affably daydrunk, so say hi to anyone who meets that description and sooner or later it's bound to be me.

    Regarding Less-Than-Positive Interpretations of Pride

Let's get a quick disclaimer out of the way before we really get going: I don't like foalcon. By "foalcon" here, I refer specifically to M-rated stories that depict characters who are very clearly meant to be minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct with other minors and/or adults. Not a fan of it! I find it gross on a personal level, I think it's morally reprehensible that a site of this

A Miserable Pile of New Stuff · 6:03pm Aug 2nd, 2012

Well, it's finally August: the month of the new Artists Training Grounds, National Pony Writing Month, and my first few days in college. A lot of people will be participating in those events, and some might even be doing two at the same time. But predicting the prodigious plans of the world's premier pony penners are not why I'm making this post, nor am I making this post to inform you that some of them might be participating in more than one event.

I'm making this post to tell you that I'll be taking part in all three of them.

It probably comes as little surprise that I'd try my writing hand at NaPoWriMo, even if it won't be Harmony or Breaking Bricks I'm working on. Instead, I'm taking this event and going one step further: I've had a new multi-chapter story project in mind for a couple weeks now, and my goal for NaPoWriMo is to get the whole thing written, edited, and ready to post by the end of the month, regardless of whether the word count misses or eclipses fifty thousand.

Complicating that issue, though, is the fact that, despite my complete and utter lack of any artistic talent whatsoever, I'm also going to see if I can't do the ATG prompts every day as well. Today's prompt only took me about an hour and a half, so it hasn't cut into my writing time too dramatically yet, but in any case, this should be an interesting month with everything that's going to be happening in it.

So, tl;dr summary: expect a brand spanking new story from me by the end of the month or possibly sooner, and a deluge of increasingly crappy hand-Sharpied artwork on the side. Also, college. College will be involved at some point. Should be fun.

Oh, and in case anyone here is interested in my ATG stuff (which, if my calculations are correct, should totally be all of you), here's my response to the Day 1 prompt:

"Draw an idle pony."

Well, I thought it was funny, anyway.

Someone needs to color that.

Hehe i had a good chukle out of that :rainbowlaugh:

PS. Any hints what the new story is about? ;)

Well, it looks an awful lot better than my submission anyway. Much more creative, at least.

I almost want to say I'm sorry.

... almost. :pinkiehappy:

Ah, I've been waiting for the perfect timing to release something that I actually was serious with. Setting aside the 50+ stories I wrote, and most of them being unfinished, I will write at least one full story, straight from the deepest parts of my soul, in this month. I will not fail this goal, I refuse, and as stubborn as I am, you can expect it to be done either really late, or in teh next few days.

Challenge accepted...

When does college start for you kids?

In other news, you're about two days out from being able to demand commissions on DA for your art...

Pfft. Lined paper...

How much you want for 7 pieces? Price is no object, and I can put as many zeroes on this check as possible. :coolphoto:
