    Hey guys! What's new?

So, I haven't been here in a good long while. I got the writing itch a while back, specifically for ponies and my old Betaverse fics. I might have something in the pipeline. I've got a few questions I'd like to ask the general pony-reading audience if you don't mind. Just so I can see if my writing style should be tweaked a bit for the modern audience.

    Stardrop's Lackluster Ending

Hello everyone. I know I've been away for a while, but that's due to me deciding to finish stories before I post them to revise, edit, and alter them to give you all better stories to read. I don't feel free to do so when I post stories live. This results in me getting frustrated with how a story is shaping up and then dropping it. That wasn't a problem when I was younger, but it's become one as

Anyone know artists who do illistrations for stories?

I'm low key working on a story which I intend to complete before posting. I'm enjoying being able to go back and improve, tweak, and change things to make the best possible version of the story, and it's nice to not feel like I am bound to a strict schedule of uploads.

A metatextual analisis of "The Bureau: XCOM Declassified" to show how it fits in the series timelines

A lot of people like the rebooted XCOM series, and a lot of people also insist its lore is bad/nonexistent. This isn't true in my opinion, but is the product of the game that sets up the world for the series having been released a year after the first game in the series as a prequel, and also it sucks ass to play. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is not a good game. At all. The story is really good,

I'm not dead · 3:07am Aug 24th, 2015

But I am mostly dead. I'm very poor, and my roomie is now and ex roomie. I'm not homeless, but it's basically shelter, or food to last the whole month. So, I'm doing things which can earn me money. It's actually illegal to set up a patrion for fanfiction as it counts as directly using a trademark, that's right, our favorite hobby is technically a crime. Because my dad's a felon, I'm actually on a watch list as a possible associate for a crime (hence why I'm poor. No one hires possible felons. Even if you weren't in the freaking country when the crime happened...). This means if I did do a patrion for this, I would be caught eventually, and go to jail. I don't want to do that.

So I've been spending my time writing a campaign setting for Pathfinder, a table top RPG. It's going well so far, and hopefully I'll have a product soon that I can sell. So I can eat and also have shelter. I cant compromise shelter, I live in Fairbanks Alaska, home of the regularly occurring -40 below winters. Being homeless in Alaska is a death sentence.

In short, FOr the foreseeable future I have to turn my writing talents to things which will fill my belly. If people wish they can ask questions about the story and I'll answer. It's technicality finished. I outlined everything chapter by chapter from day one.

Geez dude. Sorry to hear that.:applejackunsure:

How about a PayPal for non-fanfiction related donations? I'd be happy to help outside of anything to do with the stories.

3342699 That could work. I'll check ou thow to make a paypal. Do you need a bank account? (I dont have one >> never ahve enough for a minimum deposite.)

3342695 I'll be fine soon. I jsut need to work hard.

3342707 Good luck friend, I'm rooting for you.:applecry:

3342702 I don't really know, to be honest, it's been so long since I opened mine that I don't really remember the requirements.

While it is technically illegal to profit from fanfiction, that doesn't stop some people

In all honesty though, most of the writers I've seen using it treat it like a tip jar, rather then a subscription. They're motivated to write because they're getting paid, they don't write to get paid.

Well that's kinda sucks to hear your on your last legs. Hopefully you can figure out how to get your life back on track with as little stress and time as possible.

3342727 I know it dosent stop people... But I know for a fact that I'm watched, so I'm not doing it.

3342732 Hopefully yeah. I think I can.

A pity. I wish I could help, but who would I be fooling I'm a "Broke ass nigga" as they say. Still I hope the best for ye.

3342765 My girlfriend is not my roomie. That jerk had to go. He stole food.

Well, best of luck then.

You should also do commissions on deviantart, you have some high quality skill.

3342782 jerk..

May I just offer my sincerest apologies? If you look at my blog I have a similar problem.

3342841 You think so? I honestly see those as scribbles... but that may b ebecause my normal art be like this: http://i.imgur.com/DauSL6i.png

Glad to see youre still going, given where you say you live, thats tougher than almost anywhere else in the world.

Whatever you do, keep your life and health first, anythign posted here is just when you think you can, not when you think you should.

Dunno if youve seen this place, seems to have some very useful stuff on it. DnD Generate Towns and stuff.

Suprising just how much stuff needs to be worked out, even if only to create generating algorithms.

Hope things get better for you, at least have somewhere warm to stay over winter.

3343432 wow, it's pretty.
Did you use a template, or is it hand drawn?

*Gives you a Hugeee Hug* i will be praying for you. Don't give up!

3343777 That is a from scratch CGI full 3d scene. That's a still frame from a brief video clip. I used to do a lot of CG work as a hobby trying to break into Hollywood... but I'm just not good enough vs the people who did college for it to get hired.

3346222 still, it's pretty:yay:

Oh jeez... I do hope things work out. Best of luck to you in all this!

And... I for one am interested in the Pathfinder work you're doing. I'll most certainly be keeping an eye out for when you are ready to publish it.

3347160 It's a post-industrial high magic setting. I was inspired by a combination of things, including FIM, and a book I have where some WWII pilots take on a dragon in P-58 Mustangs. So it's a realy diffrent campaign setting from normal Pathfinder >>

Color me intrigued~ I have always enjoyed interesting meshes of that sort.

I know a few others who might be interested in a setting like that, as well.

190 people. That is the group of people you could ask to donate to you if you could set up something for them to donate to you. Out of those, you should get enough money to buy food for the month, hopefully. It should help some, at the very least. Not all of us could donate, true, and not all of us could donate a lot, but we would help as much as we can, and we can hope that will be enough.

The problem with this is that PayPal requires to have something to send the money to, because it just manages transactions, it doesn't store money. However, credit and debit cards work, not just bank accounts.

And then there are personal fundraising websites designed for situations exactly likes this, for example, www.giveforward.com . After all, 100 people donating a dollar each is still 100 dollars, which is technically enough money to buy food for the month if you bought these, for example.
