Fic recs, April 22nd: Jordan179 edition

Once again, though a good bit late, I bring it upon myself to memorialize an author via reviews of their stories. Though this time, it's different, as I had no connection to Jordan179 and only learned of his passing (three years ago this month, coincidentally), from this post

Another post about video games and Youtube and stuff

If I'm going to waste time watching shit on Youtube, the least I can do is tell people about it. :P

Ceave is a crazy Austrian with a love of video games and a head for philosophizing about them. Plus he really, really hates coins, no matter how tasty they may look.

Do you like video games? How about philosophy?

I like one of those things for sure, but no one combines the two better than a Youtuber named InfernalRamblings, a former professional game developer who now creates hour and a half long video essays about the meanings of video games and how they relate to the world today. A new reading, and a signal boost! · 1:47pm Aug 23rd, 2015

Heyso go check out xjuggernaughtx's new story, Resolution, edited by yours truly. It's a really inventive AU with a tantalizing backstory for Adagio Dazzle. :D

And once you're done, you can listen to ShadowOfCygnus's awesome old-lady reading of my too-short-for-modern-Fimfiction story, Testamintin':

AU

Pffffft.

Hey, thanks for the mention!

I eventually decided that I don't see it as an AU. In Rainbow Rocks, we are offered up two realities. The first is from an ancient text that Twilight reads. The second is the final battle. These two piece of information don't really mesh well. The first suggests that the Dazzlings are hippocampi, though it only calls them "creatures." The second shows them as two independent, or at least semi-independent entities. I decided that what the girls actually faced, and thus what we saw, was the more credible of the two.

I certainly understand why people would disagree, but I don't see it as an AU. I think it's open for debate.
