Captain Picard needs our help to build flying robots that steal the snot from whales · 12:16am Jul 26th, 2015

Yes, you read that head-line right.

No, I am neither drunk, nor making that up.

Captain Picard does indeed want our help to build flying robots to steal whale snot.

For science!

I have the biggest grin on right now. Man, do we live in a wonderfully crazy world. :rainbowkiss:

Times bless humanity.

Capain Picard. Argh.

But that is fascinating.

To be fair I know his real name is Sir Patrick Stewart, but using Captain Picard made for a far more amusing head-line. :trollestia:

But yeah, fascinating if silly sounding stuff.

3270821 Actually I think he said that to correct your spelling, since you spelled it Pikard, but then he misspelled 'Captain' as 'Capain' while correcting you. :twilightsheepish:

Oh!

Yeah, too be fair I'm a rather casual Star Trek fan. I know the old joke that you're either a Star Wars or Star Trek fan if you're a nerd, but the sci-fi franchises I've always connected the most with are Ghostbusters and Transformers, with a smaller dash of Red Dwarf on the side.

Don't get me wrong I get the appeal of both and I like bits off them quite a lot, they're just not all time favorites of mine.

Still, fixed the spelling.

3270855 ...fuck. =P

Did he need to start with Whales of all places?

Well, at least there's no time-travel involved, so Captain Kirk still has him beat. :derpytongue2:

3284031 true that. It's not every day you transport a whole whale and supporting water mass into a ship.
