The Code Series - Emerald Flare, Code of Dissonance, and Unrealized Projects

Continuing with a longstanding desire to put old works to rest, this blogpost goes over the extremely scattered notes, ideas, basic plot threads and ideas that would have taken The Code's Apprentice stories to a 5 story... conclusion of sorts.

The Twilight Shadow - Basic Plot Outline Spoiler for Twilight War sequel.

As long promised, below was the full outline - along with a couple of half-finished scenes and a big prologue blurb - for The Twilight Shadow, the Penultimate "Twilight Struggle" story, and sequel to The Twilight War. These are mostly short blurbs, along with chapter names, and a general outline of the final set of events. I have other notes, but they're extremely rambly, and not terribly well

    Looking Back

Been a long time, hasn't it?

I know a lot of you have probably moved on, but I figured I at least owed it to the longtime followers - and continued readers - to finally check in.

    Another year passed.

So if you're wondering where I've been, here's the short version.

Living outside of a home of your own kinda sucks, and my new job is incredibly time and energy demanding.

The long version takes a bit more.

So.

Last week, as I was continuing to 'deal' with the effects that the EFNW contest had on my ego, (Short version: I didn't take it well) A bunch of friends from the #Fimfiction IRC offered to help me organize a trip to EFNW in such a way that would fit with my admittedly highly limited budget as a way of making up for my disappointment and threatening depression. Initially I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do it given the limits of my summer work schedule and other considerations, but ultimately the plan came together thanks to a lot of very awesome people and their encouragement. (And one particular person, who, if he wishes to identify himself, may do so below.)

As of today, those plans have been mostly finalized and I am most certainly going to be attending the EFNW convention (And probably apologizing in person to Piquio Pie for being perhaps overly emotional post-contest.) On Friday and Saturday, and leaving early Sunday.

So, if any of you who are following me are going to be attending, I will probably be wearing my favorite blue polo and will have my awesome OC picture attached to my badge (somehow). I don't know wholly what I will be doing over the weekend, but you will most certainly often find me in the vicinity of the games room when I am not wandering around connecting with people from the community for the very first time. If you do spot me, you are welcome to come and talk to me so long as I am not knee-deep in something. I may dispense hugs, depending on your relative hygiene level and level of cuteness. Other fandom things may be applicable on a case by case basis. I will accept all gifts except sexual favors. (Unless you're my type. In which case, you will probably make me blush horribly.)

I will probably be hanging out a lot with Cloud Hop (who you should go read the stories of, he's a lot funnier than he gives himself credit for.)

If you have any questions or want to organize a meet-up (somehow) feel free to leave a comment.

All I have to say is if you've never been to the northwest in May, and expect it to be not hailing, you're in for a big surprise.

Sounds fun. Hope you have a great time!

Well, life has a sense of timing.

So, I had no plans to go to EFNW before now, but this changes things. However, the issue is that I'm getting corrective laser eye surgery a week before then, and there minimum recovery period of two weeks for strenuous activity.

That said, I've told you that if you ever made your way out here, I'd do my damnedest to meet up.

SO, I'm gonna do said damndest to find out if (provided I'm careful) I can go to a convention setting, in that doing so won't risk severe infection or some such. If so, I'm going get myself booked for EFNW. Won't have a car, since I won't be able to drive, but I'm pretty sure I can take a train down.

But if you're going, I intend to say an awkward 'HALLO!'

So glad this worked out for you~! I was kinda lurking during this conversation on IRC so I'm glad everything was able to work out... I hope you're feeling better now too!

I unfortunately won't be there (entirely across the country lol) but be sure to have enough fun for the both of us

Yay!
