It is never easy to confront when you've changed.
Profile of Retired Writer, Lapis-Lazuli, and his editor, Stitch / Inky. Thanks for the memories, FiMFiction.
It is never easy to confront when you've changed.
Continuing with a longstanding desire to put old works to rest, this blogpost goes over the extremely scattered notes, ideas, basic plot threads and ideas that would have taken The Code's Apprentice stories to a 5 story... conclusion of sorts.
As before, please note that everything below represents a spoiler for stories that are - at this juncture - highly likely to never be finished, due to a combination of demands from real life, and a change in my creative priorities.
So, as before:
As long promised, below was the full outline - along with a couple of half-finished scenes and a big prologue blurb - for The Twilight Shadow, the Penultimate "Twilight Struggle" story, and sequel to The Twilight War. These are mostly short blurbs, along with chapter names, and a general outline of the final set of events. I have other notes, but they're extremely rambly, and not terribly well organized. They mostly pertain to character arcs and how fights would play out. If you want more
Been a long time, hasn't it?
I know a lot of you have probably moved on, but I figured I at least owed it to the longtime followers - and continued readers - to finally check in.
So if you're wondering where I've been, here's the short version.
Living outside of a home of your own kinda sucks, and my new job is incredibly time and energy demanding.
The long version takes a bit more.
Sorry about that, folks. I was setting up a story and doing testing when I accidentally set the thing up to be published, and it ended up on the published list. I actually wasn't aware that there was now an auto-que for publishing. (Serves me right for not paying attention.) I apologize for any confusion that occurred because of this. Please stay tuned for ACTUALLY new-written stories.
Under say, 70 thousand words. (So about 15 of my usual chapters) - What would you most want to see me write? You can be as specific, or as vague, as you want.

(don't call it a Comeback... yet.)
Ayo all. Stich here... again.
So! This may or may not be common knowledge, particularly to our newer followers, but way back in the day, Lapis and I had separate accounts. We came together out my love for his Code series and my offer to editorially clean and polish them. From there, we entered a great partnership that eventually culminated in us truly joining forces.
Ayo all, Stitch here.
To put things short and sweet and to nip a barrage of comments and PMs asking what's goin' down in the bud, I, InkyJay have undergone a Bowie moment and consequently renamed myself as Stitch. Don't worry. This is very much creator side for me, and you can still expect the stories and such.
Cheers!
Stitch
PS - Lapis has an announcement planned for the vague future of soon, so expect some fun in the near future.
Music is the definition of a culture, or a melodic collection of an era’s symbols, depending on who you ask. Either way, music is important to society. So what happens when certain kinds of music become secluded and walled off with their home cultures?
They vanish from common social context… that is until they’re brought back. Then, it’s revolution. And the ones leading the charge the heroic rebels. Or disruptive troublemakers. Depending on who you ask.
