You know, everyone bitches about every update Knighty does to this place. But, in general, I don't mind them. People just don't like change. I don't like it much either, but I take it in stride. We must move on to bigger and better things, so I'm ok with it.
Except for that damned Library update. I can't stand that one. I mean, it's all good except for that one goddamned, ball-greasing thing that tells writers the exact name of the fucking library their precious creation gets unceremoniously dumped into by RandomUserPerson579.2.
Maybe I deserve this. I get it. I'm a bastard, it's been two years since I updated. Or maybe they do it on purpose, to try and prod me until I give in and write more. Either way, I thoroughly don't enjoy it.
It's not easy, you know. Getting into a funk, and being stuck there. I want to write. I even do sometimes, random bits and bobs, though. Never a whole story. I just can't find my muse. It's... hard. Not just to put proverbial pen to proverbial paper, but also bearing the weight of 2000 fimfictioners that are silently waiting for moar. I know they're there. I want to write for them.
I'm trying... I'm just not very good at it...

This is why I put mine on private. I have a lot of stories I put in a lot of different shelves and I don't want to bother authors I enjoy...unless the author still gets a notification even if it's a private shelf. In which case, I now feel very bad. -_-
I know the feeling of not having updated a story in quite some time. In fact, on the 8th of this month, it will be two years since I updated Wilted Flower. Like you, I want to write, but I just can't feel it anymore.
Although people don't really read my story and/or poke and prod me to continue it (it's not really popular). I suppose you could say that I'm grateful for not having a lot of fans, because people hounding me about my stories would aggravate me to no end.
