HAPPY BIRTHDAY Amor Fati!

Yes! Indeed, it has been a year already! My prized story and gem is growing up so fast. The same prized story I am proud to say I wrote that even Rarity herself signed. :D

When I came on this site, I really only wanted to post the series my friends and I wrote together. After it was done, I wanted to make my own stories. I had no interest in writing about the popular and boring topics like most unoriginal canonxcanon shipping stories (I feel hate coming soon, heh.) I did however have an interest about a certain pony that made me like the show and I even noticed a normal trend in the show that mostly every male seems to be a douche to my "Boo", Rarity. (I'm not counting Spike. That's a whole different rant for me for a different day. TL;DR "Sparity" is lame and I'm judging you if you support it.)

Sooooo, call me crazy but I always liked OC stories. I know most people are going to call me out for this, but OC stories are almost always unique in their own way. Every OC is different, so it's hard to really make a duplicate story. When I created my OC, Clyde, for the series my friends and I made, I kind of dipped my feet in the romance genre with an OC character and a show character.

By now, you know that all of my stories on here involve Clyde and Rarity. Is it wish-fulfillment? I don't believe so since Clyde isn't really like me, but if you want to think that go ahead. With all of the comments and PMs I have gotten over the year, I know I can proudly say Clyde isn't one of those "terrible, self-inserted OCs" that people just hate. What I do want to say is that OC stories aren't all bad and I highly recommend people reading them with an open mind and just because your Waifu or OTP is being romantically involved or broken up due to an OC, don't go saying every story like this is bad. Sometimes you might find a "Rarity" of a story. (I had to. Lol.)

Back to AF.

Anyway, I wanted to make this blog post because of how special this story is. One year ago today, I had roughly 400 story views in total and only 22 followers. As of right now, this story alone has a little over 1,400 while the sequel has 250 and I now quadrupled my follower count to 88.

Amor Fati was definitely the defining story for me to show all of you wonderful people, and I'm so shocked how a simple dude like me with only 22 followers could gain a growing fanbase with just one story. Whether you followed me for AF or another story, or maybe you think I'm a nice dude and you really enjoy talking to me, I consider all of you officially part of #TeamClarity.

So, thanks to all of you for giving my story and myself a chance to stand out amongst this populated site. I would thank each and every one of you, but I feel this is dragging on too long. I do, however, want to thank certain people real quick.

Azure Shadow. My first friend on this site that I met in January of 2014. He released the infamous The Pie of My Eye, which involved his OC and Pinkie, a few weeks later. I thought the idea was cool and since I hadn't made an EqG story at all yet, I decided why not make Clarity in EqG? So I did. Amor Fati is considered the second installment to the ever growing "OCxGirl EqG" series that multiple authors are involved with so I'm happy I could also be a foundation along with him. I also want to thank him for allowing Clyde and Rarity to have a prospering relationship in his story. :D
CogWing. The Canadian Man himself. Cog was the guy to make the lovely cover for AF, along with getting to meet Tabitha St. Germain to get the sketch autographed. Cog helped me edit some stories and I even got to edit his fanfics and actual novel. I also want to thank him for including Clyde in his ghost story, The Trotsburg Files, and in his OCxGirl EqG story that involves Rainbow Dash, Come Out of Your Shell.
BlueSun52 and KillerRobotQuote. Two of the "new" guys in the OCxGIrl EqG stories that enjoyed Azure, Cog, and I's stories so they wanted to make one of their own. They made one about Sunset and Fluttershy respectively, and I want to thank them for allowing Clyde to be part of the story.
And finally AdmiralPopeye. The first AF and Clarity fanboy.

Like I said, I would list all of my followers, but I don't really have the time. In all seriousness, thank you all for reading AF and its sequel. It means a lot to me that people actually enjoy my OC's adventures with the fashion queen herself. To conclude, I present a picture the good sir, BlueSun, made for this very special day.
