All Foals Are Born Equal - New story · 9:32pm Apr 10th, 2015
As you can all see, I just wrote a new story based on the season opening two parter. Writing and editing the entire thing in a week was a challenge, but I think it turned out well.
When I saw the new episodes, I knew I had to write something around them. My initial thought was that every background pony we see has a story, a reason why they were initially intrigued by Starlight's ways. I first thought about picking one and telling his or her story, but eventually decided to go with an OC instead. The idea of making the character pregnant just came naturally.
Overall, writing All Foals Are Born Equal was a great learning experience. I mostly enjoyed the stylistic liberties I can take with a one-shot that aren't really possible in a longer epic like A Dream of Sunny Days.
For those of you waiting for the next chapter, don't worry. I did take a week off, but I think I needed to focus on a different project for a while. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this little experimental story of mine. I might write more one-shots in the future should I get other cool ideas, but ADoSD will remain my primary project.
I absolutely loved your story. It is an amazing story that will hopefully get the attention it deserves.
