Suggestions please?:)

Hi everypony ^.^ I need suggestions for my next story! I want to do an alternative ending to the royal wedding, but Big Clopple (aka my sister) doesn't think it's a good idea..

So somepony have any other suggestions or should I keep the alternative ending idea?:)

The alternate ending is a fine idea, but it depends what you want as an alternate ending. I'm not saying it's not a good idea- it's quite interesting, actually. But I'm not sure if it might bring the attention of everypony, if you know what I mean.

I was thinking if not, something emotional. I noticed you can very well capture emotions in your stories, so something high in emotions should be good. Maybe past-like? I mean, your last story was sort-of in the future... How about we do something in the past now? It's nice to try lots of different things.

The alternate ending to the canterlot wedding also sounds interesting, what type of alternate ending where you thinking about?

Stick with one-shots or short story collections, perhaps some friendshipping or an emotional piece. If you can convey the feelings and thoughts in a non-diary format as well as you could in your first fic, you should be able to create something quite good

As for the alternate ending idea, as long as some people might be interested, why not? The most important thing is to keep it original, and if it's something that hasn't been done before, go ahead and give it a try

I like the alternate ending idea, so long as you don't try to do too much. I think the best "alternate" ideas come from making a single change in the story and then simply following through with what the characters would normally do if that happened.

Also - there is nothing inherently wrong with self inserts. Its just that they are so often done so bad. Just don't have a self insert be your first work.
