Belated Birthday, and some convention news! · 9:49pm Feb 20th, 2015
February 9, Sugarcube Corner
Pinkie, Ah gotta give it to ya, this is one of your best parties! But why throw something so close to Hearts And Hooves Day?
Because this isn't just another party. This is Quizzical's birthday!
Oh. Well, good... (*looks behind a potted plant*) ...but I haven't seen Quiz anywhere...
Of course not. Quizzical isn't here. She always goes home to Canterlot for a quiet little celebration with just her immediate family. To each pony their own, I guess.
Um... seems like an awful lot of effort for an absentee guest of honor...
Applejack, please! Pinkie could hardly hold anything back. Quizzical would be mortified if she heard that any pony failed to have a good time at her birthday party!
Absotively!
Quiz will want to hear all about it when she gets home. She's quite fascinated by parties, so long as she doesn't have to participate. I've been taking lots of notes.
Well, that almost comes close to making sense. But, Pinkie, it's not like you to let a birthday-girl get away from you so easily.
Oh, I've been corresponding with Quizzical's mother, and I think I get her next year! I just hope Quizzical's ready for it!
It was February 9th, 2012, that Quizzical was first published (on fanfiction.net, it would be another year before I moved her to FIMfic). Happy belated birthday, Quiz!
In convention news, I was in Brooklyn this weekend for Ponycon. I met Ingrid Nilson, who voices Maud Pie! I got her autograph, and she gave me a rock! It was totally worth coming home and finding my driveway impassible yet again.
Well, happy birthday to Quiz. Got to love the unique logic behind the party. This is the sort of thing one should expect from a Twilight-Pinkie collaboration, really.
But what kind of rock?
2816141 Actually, it's a glass bead. Ms. Nilson had a box of them, and gave one away with every autograph ("Would you like a rock?")
Happy birthday Quiz!
Here's hoping you get lots of good presents! And that you have a relaxing and quiet time at home.
2816141 Actually, Maud likely sent Quiz a rock for her birthday, and it would probably be a piece of a butte. So the answer to your question is sedimentary.
A party in her honour, without her there? Well there's an original idea
