Minoan Crisis World-Building · 9:14am Feb 20th, 2015

So I'm assuming a lot of you are familiar with the World-Building Alliance, a group dedicated to expanding the universe of MLP, figuring out details from show evidence and gathering various authors' versions of the world outside Equestria, focusing on non-pony races.

If you're already a member of the group, you might have seen my recent thread in the group forum, though maybe the length of it scared you away. It is a bit long, but it's basically all my geography and magic system world-building for Minoan Crisis (you know, that awesome project I've been hinting at since November?). So if you're interested in the world Lightning Dust will be exploring and trying to save from world war, check it out.

Oh, and a progress update on the project itself: I've got almost everything plotted out that I need to start writing, except for two semi-major design choices. One is the perspective of the prologue, and the other is the identity of the supporting main character. I have two options for the role, and each has its pros and cons. This Saturday I'm meeting with my new writing group (something you should all try), and hopefully they can help me come to a decision. I haven't been idly debating with myself, however, and outlining is good to go for either choice, so there won't be any more delay if someone talks me into switching the character from what I was planning before.

I'm not planning to publish chapters before beginning the next one like I did with Lily, so even when I start writing, you guys won't actually see anything until I'm sure I don't want to change anything. That means updates will come more slowly, but hopefully it will mean better quality and less retconning.
