Valentine's Day is Coming · 6:33am Feb 10th, 2015
So I just realized Valentine's Day is in four days. I was planning on writing a fic for Valentines Day. Now I'm wondering if it'll come out on time...
Jeez, how could I let this slip? Same thing happened last year, I had plans for Valentine's Day, or rather, was intent on making plans, but I let the days go by and by the time I knew it, Valentine's Day was a few days later. Maybe that's why I can't keep a girl. Well, that and the whole Brony thing. Anyway, It's time to buck up and start writing!
Can ya'll guess what I'll be doing? No? Well, it's the only ship I've worked on. SombraPie! No it's not a last minute decision. I actually thought about doing it as a Valentine's Day special like three months ago but even with ample time, I haven't begun it. Not that I'm clueless on the plot though. Let me run it by ya'll real quick.
Shadow's Enigma:Loving Heart
It's been a year since the events of Shadow's Enigma and Sombra is busy teaching others how to control their magic. However, there is always something going wrong. This time though, it was an explosion. A large one. One that detonated inches from his muzzle.
Recovery was fast and there was no significant damage to the other students of the school, however, Sombra's regeneration focused on certain things instead of others. While his face recovered in a matter of minutes, his nose, or rather his sense of smell hadn't yet. As luck would have it, he received two visitors on this day.
Pinkie Pie, whom travels from Ponyville every week to visit him was due for her arrival. The entire school is always happy when she comes by for several reasons. One of them is that Sombra seems to be less strict when she's around. The second is that she's just fun to have around.
The other visitor was unexpected, unannounced, and unwarranted. Chrysalis came by to see how everything was going. Of all the ungodly days she could pick, it was the day he could no longer detect the scent of a Changeling. What made it worse, was that she and Pinkie decided to play a trick.
Can Sombra distinguish his marefriend from Chrysalis? Now that his sense of smell is gone, all bets are off. This could deepen the relationship he and Pinkie have if he can tell the difference. However, it would hurt it if he can't. Let shenanigans commence.

*mimics sapphire shore's voice* girl friend ima gonna tell ya what's gonna happen. You're gonna write this story, ima read it, major stuff is gonna hit the fan. and ima be all like "oooohhhh...... sombra, ya betta watch ya self." and before he even know's what's a goin' on. he's gonna get a big ol' bitch slap right up in his face.
*returns to normal voice* sorry, i just HAD to do that. seemed appropriate in this situation.
I am glad we dont celebrate Valentines in my country! It allows me to be a scrooge about this business, while hopefully getting something done
2784490 you said it. not that i mind being single. love is an emotional roller coaster that I'd rather not ride. i think the saying ''It's better to love and lost, rather than not love at all" just doesn't apply to me. i have all the friends i need, so i think their love will be just enough. happy singles awareness day every pony!
In other news, sounds like you have the plot pretty much figured out. What you could do is have both Chrysalis and Pinkie hang around the college for the day and have them each interact with him during specific times, like during meals and in between classes. Then at the end of the day he makes his choice.
OH MY GOD CHRYSALIS AND PINKIE INTERACTIONS ARE FREAKING HILARIOUS. Seriously, in the comics, I found Chrysalis' reactions towards Pinkie absolutely funny, and I like how she even has a bit of amusement from it, as well. I always liked the idea of Sombra and Chryssi having some sort of past together, and Pinkie getting involved in it is kinda funny!
In my headcanon, Sombry and Chryssi did the do, but Sombra backed out of the relationship because Chrysalis was going to bite his head off. Literally. Then, fast forward years later, Pinkie and Sombra are married when Chrysalis shows up wanting revenge. Comedy ensues, then Fluffle Puff goes to take Chryssi away and give her pets while Sombra and Pinkie snuggle.
I wanted to write it, but I just never got around to it.
