Despite what some of you may believe -possibly due to the absence of new chapters- I am not dead. I'm not a zombie either; that's a rash, not rot.
Joking aside, I'm still about; my near-constant logged in state and the additions to my Tracking or Faves libraries surely attests to that.
Some of you may be wondering where the new chapters of the things I write are.
Some of you may be wondering if I'm still writing them.
Hell, some of you might be thinking that I've given up writing.
... I admit, I gave it a thought. My stories have holes. Not just holes that your car might skip over or you might find a coin in, but some holes that are painfully cavernous. They have had me worried for a while, and I've been of mind to cancel some of my work because of them. I won't, but the thought has been there.
The rule of 'show don't tell' is one that I continue to struggle with, having come not from a background of creative writing but instructional or managerial. I'm a trained network administrator (currently unemployed, but I have the diploma) so instead of creativity in my educational writing I've had informational. 'Show don't tell' doesn't exist in such writing. It wastes time and space in important documents, and that mindset has leaked over into my hobbies. I say this because I have seen complaints about it in my work, and I would like to say that yes it is something that I'm working on.
Now, let's get to the stories:
Bat and Bug
If anyone has noticed the comments by one 'Deathclaw2014' in Bat and Bug, you may have noticed my only reaction to these comments. Don't pile hate on the guy, he has a valid point with his 'show don't tell' complaint. I will argue, however, that his hatred of using 'buck' instead of the cuss that it rhymes with so neatly is something that I find incredibly stupid. Granted more power to him, but for fuck's sake dude, grow up a little. The story is tagged 'Comedy', I might not be taking anything seriously.
Also, I've not graphically mentioned sex, as far as I'm aware there are no serious cusses, and yes, there is blood. You know what I say to this worry about blood and it still being an E rated story?
*clears throat*
"OH MY GOD, I CUT MY FINGER; COVER LITTLE JIMMY'S EYES OR HE'LL BE SCARRED FOR LIFE AT THE SIGHT OF A LITTLE BLEEDING!"
Blood happens. People get hurt.
Grow a pair.

Scarlet Tears
The next chapter of this is something that I'm still toying with in terms of where it will go. It's going to feature an important event that I am working on to get exactly how I want it, and -just a heads up to everyone who actually reads the story (that list ain't huge)- you may hate me for what I'm doing. Don't worry, everything gets better. This chapter has been uploaded, read on up!
Fall of a Monarch
Some people may or may not see where this is all going; if you do, great, you're psychic and clairvoyant and can see into the goddamned future.
I'm playing with the ending of this a lot, and I'm hoping that you're all pleasantly surprised at where it ends up.
Coin's Face
The next chapter of this is still in production, and should be released as soon as I can finish it. I don't want to spoil anything, but things are going to get a little more interesting from here, so I hope you enjoy where I take this train wreck! This chapter is up, go read it!

Changing Times
Now, some of you may be sitting there thinking "Gee, the last chapter makes mention of a possible love-circle, I wonder if this means polygamous relationships?" I admit it, I'm guilty.
I'm herding.
I'm going to release no further spoilers for this until the chapter is written, proofed, and published. I hope you are all looking forward to this.
I have a few more ideas for stories in my head rattling about, but I've set myself a rule and I'm sticking to it; no new stories until I finish one of what I've GOT. That's likely to be Fall of a Monarch first, by the by, as I'm only a short ways away.
That little contest to name the Timberwolf in Bat and Bug is still going, by the by, so keep up with the suggestions!

Im glad you havent joined the undead horde just waiting for us to get comfortable with the undead. I like my brain, no matter how riddled with bad ideas it might be.
Funny fact, but the main difference between PG-13 and R is whether there is nudity and visible blood on screen.
Salty language and extreme content is just for at PG-13, but if there's boobs or blood? R.
At worst, Bat and Bug should be bumped to T, but honestly? I never filter stories by rating — just tags — so doing o would not affect me one way or another.
