An author you should pay attention to · 12:02am Jan 15th, 2015
So, if you happen to have lost your social life to the clutches of Fimfiction, it’s fair to assume you know some members of this community more than others, if only for how active they are in it. For instance, you’ve probably seen names like those of Csquared08 or Professor Plum around, be in the comments of a story or one of the incredible amounts of groups they’re in. You may be confounded as to why either of these two nincompoops people have so many followers, despite writing considerably few blogs and absolutely no stories of their own, especially when these two have established themselves well in the community.
So it comes with great confusion when you find a man who, just like these two jokers, has written nary a blog, but unlike them, has written several stories to put under his belt and uphold the pants he probably wears. Of course, I’m talking about my good friend Burraku_Pansa, and I’m left scratching my head to see this guy, who’s arguably done just as much help around Fimfiction as the two previously mentioned, go so unmentioned himself. I mean, he has less than half either’s follower count, for goodness sake! So this is where I (and several other kindred souls) get together to throw him into the spotlight.
There are undoubtedly countless authors out there who can claim to be underappreciated, but I can’t really think of any other so deserving of a bit of recognition. So, if you have the time to spare, I implore you to go give this man a bit of attention. A good first stop is his amazing short story, A Brush with Beauty, which was first written for the first The Most Dangerous Game contest and ended up just shy of being a finalist. Another excellent stop is his story A Wish for Greener Grass, which actually gives a bit of character to everyone’s most beloved background pony, and is without a doubt one of the best I’ve seen thus far. With a bit of love, we may actually give him the motivation he needs to pull it out of hiatus.
Like most authors, he needs to write more. So go give him the mind he’s too humble to seek himself, will ya?
....ok. why not.
