I can't speak for others, but this is something I've already known for a long time. The change has been in my belief that small voices carry small weight and so that weight might be considered wasteful, or impeding the bigger voices that carry more weight. That's incorrect. No voice, however small, is inconsequential. No slowflake can be said to not contribute to the avalanche.
