    Dramatic Reading for Transient Traditions

This past December I wrote a story for Jinglemas 2020 for one Melody Song called "Transient Traditions." It's a "short" story about a reluctant Tempest being sent to spend the holidays with Thorax and the changelings.

Signal Boost: "A Lapse in Reason"

A really good friend, and an astounding writer, just put out the start of an amazing story called A Lapse of Reason. It's M-rated, so just a warning!

Fleetfoot has never been the romantic type. She's never felt that deep longing for a special somepony in her life — never had time for it either.

    Always Worth Living: Cancellation Notice

No, this isn't some trick. Always Worth Living has been cancelled.

The reason why is simple. The story was written during a part of my life that I am now very, very far away from, and I've grown as a person and a writer since then. In addition, there are pacing issues that I have with the plans of this story.

    A Story I Co-Authored

    "It's a Start"

It was co-written with Arcitcbrony and took an embarrassing amount of time to write.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a couple overdue chapters to start...

Always Worth Living: Added Prologue & Hiatus Explanation · 3:49am Jan 7th, 2015

As you may have noticed, I have added "Falling Strong" to Always Worth Living as the prologue. It's something I've been considering, to help give the story some solidarity, after it was suggested by someone in the comments. And no, I haven't changed anything about it, but that might change very soon.

I'm still not sure if I should delete the original's solo story page, though. I don't want to get someone confused by seeing the same part in both stories, but I also don't want to give it up for the survivors.

Moving on.

I also want to give an overdue explanation as to why I put the story on hiatus.

1. Other Projects:
Yes, believe it or not, there are stories other than Always Worth Living that I would like to write, not to mention I have four stories that haven't been updated in a very long time. Two are in desperate need of a re-write (they're so bad I can't even look at them anymore), and the two others I would like to put out at least another chapter to show that they're not so dead and buried. Not only that, I have a few one-shots I've been working on, and then I had an idea for Fimfic Authors Are in Your Bed—it has just been one distraction after another.

2. Plotting:
Always Worth Living is one of the few stories that have been actually planned out from beginning to end; however, the blueprints only depict the skeleton of the tale. I still have to add meat to the bones, which is why Chapter 6 took so long to write. I wasn't prepared, and at times I struggled getting any progress whatsoever. I need time to add parts, and work out some kinks in the storyline, so I'll have some reasonable direction whenever I resume writing it.

3. Re-writes:
I read some of the past chapters after writing Chapter 6, and I realized something: my writing's grown a lot since I started the story. Of course, it's still not the best in the world, but I believe I've found my own style, which I hope to apply to the re-writes of the chapters preceding Chapter 6 (which may or may not include the newly added prologue). Naturally, I know I still have a lot of growing to do in my writing, but perhaps it won't be drastic to where I'm disgusted by my own words.

However, I'm sure some of you will be delighted to know that the hiatus isn't an indefinite state: I'll resume writing chapters on the story's anniversary, no matter what.

EDIT: As you may have noticed "Falling Strong" has been deleted and is now a full-time prologue for Always Worth Living.

sadly mein friend you likly will have to remove falling strongs solo page ...only because of posting the same thing twice is frowned upon by the fimfic team ...think of it as if you posted the new prologue before anyy of the other chapters ...youd have basically posted the same story twice .... anyways let me know when your starting rewrites ..ill be sure to help in any way i can

I didn't think about it like that. Yeah, I think I will delete it.

2707125 hey take what i say witha grain of salt ..its just ive scene this situation before in like rewrites where to person keep the original and theyve were told to remove it

Take your time, we'll wait. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

:ajsleepy: Unfortunately, others have been impatient about some of my other stories. Everyone's been asking "When's the next chapter? When's the next chapter?" Don't get me wrong, I like that people want more, but I have a lot to do, especially outside of writing fanfiction. So I basically want to throw some meat to those particular dogs, so they'll leave me alone for a while.

2712604 I'd only do that if the author didn't mind. So really, take as long as you need. I get that real life comes first.
