So... Noctilucent's revelation... PLSS spoilers for 35

Noctilucent hasn't been under the geas this whole time.

THE GEAS IS EVIL! THE GEAS IS WRONG! THE dingos GEAS ATE MY BABY! WAAAAAAH! -

People made so many assumptions about Luna's character in the story. And it was very satisfying to do the first of several major reveals. Anyhoo, nothing is ever quite as it seems.

Anyhow, the story continues. I'm nervous about the coming parts. I dunno how I'm going to pull this off.

Yes, but this was a major source of hate for this story. Noctilucent had no free will... or so the unknowing masses kept protesting.

2700134 Meh, free will is overrated. Most humans will never be able to live righteous and happy lives, unless you make them. Honestly, this part didn't even bother me in this story, I almost forgot about it.

I always had the feeling that it wasn't there. You're a clever writer, Kudzu, and you should be happy that people like me pick up on that and plan for plot twists xD

I didn't realize the haters were so bad Any qualms I had were addressed in the comments for the first few chapters as you and others talked about different suicide attempt treatments... Frankly, there needed to be something stopping Noctilucent from killing himself, and the geas worked well for that. It helped him! I can't believe so many people were so freaked about that.
