King of Beggars

One of these days we'll form a union, and get the fair and equitable treatment we deserve. Then we'll go too far, and become corrupt and shiftless, and the Japonies will eat us alive.

Happy Horselidays! · 6:18pm Dec 25th, 2014

Merry Christmas, fellow Christmas horse enthusiasts! King of Beggars here with the yulest of tidings for you all.

No, this isn't a chapter release post, sorry to say. The holiday has gotten away from me a bit, and things have been a little hectic around the old ranchero. Those of you waiting for the next chapter of Twilight Sparkle of the Royal Guard are going to have to wait another week, thereabouts. The business of the Festivus and the visitings of friends and family have vastly eaten away at my energy and pony-related time (very selfish of them, I know). After today things should die down, though. I've no plans for New Year's and more time off work with which to ply my pony-arts. At least the time isn't wasted, as all this downtime has given me opportunity to go over in my head the coming adventure for Twilight and Cadance. When it's all said and done I think the story is going to be much stronger than what I originally set out to write, thanks to this break in the actual writing to refine the coming plot.

Also, this chapter looks like it might run kind of long, so that might add some heft to the word count. I'm already about 4k words in and barely finished the first scene, with about four or five more scenes to go before I can wrap the chapter up.

Bah I'm getting off topic. I just wanted to tell you all that I'm super grateful to all my readers for supporting these silly pony projects of mine. I've had a lot of fun writing for all of you, and I hope you'll enjoy the things I have planned for you all next year.

Thank you ever so much for a great year! Have a Merry Christmas, a Chappy Chanukkah, a Krazy Kwanzaa, a Tip-Top Tet, and a solemn, dignified Ramadan!

Please be jolly!

Happy holidays to you friend :-) . I'd just like to say thank you for what you've done and for the work you're putting in. I hope you have (and have had) a very happy holidays season and you enjoy your friends and family. I'm enjoying your "silly" project but I do hope you're having fun with it too. Good luck with your writing and don't forget to take time for yourself and be happy and jolly as well:twilightsmile:
